  1. Love this topic! Gavilrovs has his gloves on loosely anytime he plays that fart face Logan Ninefingers. Let's hope the sths gods allow this epic battle to take place!
  2. Guntis Gavilrovs continues to dominate on the blue line for the Stockholm Vikings as he's been the top defenseman all season in the VHLE. His offense leads all blue liners with 32 points in 24 games, good for 5th overall in league scoring and his physical play is unmatched with a crunching 120 hits on the year. He also leads the league in assists with 27 and has spent more time in the penalty box than anyone else. He has the 2nd most shot blocks in the league with 68 while playing a ton of minutes for the Vikings who are looking like real contenders. Just a really impressive season so far for the big Latvian defenseman, it's hard to imagine that anyone would have the nerve to chirp him.. but last seasons VHLM standout and current VHLE hated rival Logan Ninefingers recently called him out in the media after Guntis ran him over their last game against the Oslo Storm. Guntis has made a habit of laying out the less attractive Logan Ninefingers this season and recently said he will check him into his own bench next time they play! This will be a story worth following as we get into the heart of the season. @Scurvy @Gaikoku-hito
  3. Day breaks but never falls, your pants fall but never break. 1. I think it's fine, we have a lot of leaders on the team so it's good to let them all get a chance to wear a letter at certain points. 2. I love goalies but don't think they should wear the C mainly because you have to be able to be in the refs ear all the time and need to leave the crease a lot. 3. I think we also have a chance to make the playoffs with our amazing coaching staff in Vancouver. 4. Honestly I think we did so well in the S92 draft that we can afford to pick later in the next draft and be fine. 5. I'd say Ben McLaughin's goal scoring rate has been an impressive surprise, he's on a great pace. 6.
  4. Look for Gavilrovs to check Ninefingers over the boards into his own bench next time they play! VHLE Media is buzzing about this intense rivalry between two of the best players in the E!
  5. Stockholm Vikings hulking blueliner Guntis Gavilrovs, the 3rd overall pick in the draft, has come out of the gates on fire and is leading the VHLE in several categories through the first 10 games. Guntis is throwing the body like nobody else with 55 hits in 10 games and is on an astonishing pace! He has 16 points to lead all defenseman and is the league leader in assists so far with 14 on the season. His physical play and offense has helped the Vikings to a solid start at 5-5, currently 3rd in the standings. Fellow Vancouver prospect and Vikings forward Riley Martin @Smarch is also off to torrid start with 7 goals and 16 points through 10 games! This duo is building chemistry when on the ice together and it's not only a great sign for Stockholm but also Vancouver in the future! It will be fun to see what Gavilrovs, Martin and the rest of the great players on Stockholm can do together this season!
  6. 1. Anal Monkey was a great player and captain but the chance to get a prospect like Ninefingers is a solid exchange. No curse! 2. Ben's a solid player I like it, let's go! 3. He is the man! I love the big move to get 1st overall and select logan ninefingers, going to be a huge player. 4. Real important, great signing. Guy is so good I took him in fantasy this year, nuff said. 5. sure he does, great player, glad we have him! 6. Can't wait to see alll these players but gotta be Guntis!!!

  9. Heck yeah man! Let's GO!!
  10. 1. For me I like the games because I'm not overly active in the community, but lot of cool people here for sure. 2. I'd like for all teams to have discussion threads on forum 3. Might be cool that I am the highest drafted Latvian player in the both the recent drafts. Questions: 1. What do you expect from your player this season? 2. What do you expect from your team this season? 3. What do you think is heaver a pound of feathers or a pound of lead?
  11. The Big Latvian defenseman Guntis Gavilrovs was part of two drafts this week, first the VHL draft where he went 7th overall to the Vancouver Wolves! Following that up by going 3rd overall in the VHLE draft to the Stockholm Vikings! What a week for Guntis as teams obviously think very highly of the 6'8" 250 pound hammering Dman. No doubt Gavilrovs work ethic and dedication to improving was noticed by VHL GM's as he had numerous teams interested in his services on draft day. In the end he went to Vancouver and is absolutely thrilled to be playing in Canada for a team that has a rich history and very bright future. Joining fellow draftsmates in Vancouver like world's best junior Logan Ninefingers and talents like Riley Martin, VV Carstein, DBIV and J Shmo will make this Vancouver team hard to beat in a few seasons. In Stockholm Guntis looks to be the main man on defense right now and will log a ton of minutes expecting to put up big numbers this season and help the Vikings to the cup!
  12. Ninefingers better keep his head up out there!! #1
