  1. Lets' GO!! Great article, going to be a fun season!
  2. I'd have some interest in this if you need more people, not sure my gfx skills are up to par though..
  3. So I have no idea if there's any kind of awards in the VHLE, but if there's a defenseman of the year trophy I think Guntis Gavilrovs deserves to be a front runner for it. The big Latvian blueliner had an absolutely huge season, leading the entire league in assists, hits and pims as well as all defenseman in points. He also ranked near the top in blocked shots, blueliner goals and finished 8th overall in league scoring. Just a monster performance and some really impressive numbers all around. He helped Stockholm to great season finishing 3rd overall and a strong playoff run losing to the eventual champs. I think most people would be impressed by Gavilrovs performance on the blue line this season and would support him for any kind of Defenseman of the year award. Other defenseman deserving recognition would be Vlad Von Carstein, Darko Alexander Malkovich, Joseph Dubois and Sunset Moth who all had great seasons of their own and I have a ton of respect for. Whatever happens it would be fun to see Gavilrovs get some hardware before he moves onto the VHL where it will likely take him at least a few seasons to be in consideration for any VHL awards. Also with it being off-season I couldn't think of anything else to write about, lol, so yes I'm shamelessly plugging myself!
  4. 1. I was happy to see some of our guys win the cup in Bratislava, it just means we have that much more experience to help us win the cup with Vancouver! 2. Without question Logan Ninefingers partied the hardest, he's huge and can consume a ton of alcohol. 3. Bummer for DBIV who is one heck of a player and my teammate from the VHLM in Houston, but still good to get a deep playoff run and that experience. 4. I always enjoy it more when I play against friends, the win just feels better and you can talk shit later. 5. Can't check a guy through the glass unless you go for the hit! 6. Last season in the VHLE Ninefingers and I were hoping to have a friendly tilt, would have been fun but never happened and now thankfully never will
  5. It was a fun season for formerly hated rivals Guntis Gavilrovs and Logan Ninefingers in the VHLE this season, the two monsters battled all year long on and off the ice but eventually Ninefingers won out by hoisting the cup with the Bratislava Watchmen. Ninefingers had a great playoffs and beat Gavirovs's Vikings head to head in their match up so Guntis has nothing to do but salute him with respect. Guntis may have won the regular season with an all-world stat performance but Ninefingers lit it up also and won the post-season so he gets the ultimate W in this rivalry. Gavilrovs has nothing but respect for his now beloved teammate in Vancouver and was happy the two could spice things up in VHLE media this season. Ninefingers took all Gav's comments in stride, even when he remarked on his looks and threatened to check into the stands. The guy is pure class and Gav is thrilled to be taking the ice with him and the other great VHL rookies in Vancouver this season! Gavilrovs would also like to take this opportunity to thank his GM's and teammates in Stockholm this past season. He really loved playing for the Vikings, great people and management there as well as an awesome fanbase. Guntis hopes he made good on his lofty 3rd overall draft position for them and has a lot of great memories from this season. The team had a very strong year as well, finishing 3rd overall in the standings and putting forth a great effort in the post-season against the eventual champs. Guntis wishes everyone in Stockholm the best as he now looks forward to going pro with Vancouver this coming season.
  6. Congrats on a well-earned cup for Ninefingers! Can't wait to get out on the ice with you and the rest of the crew in Vancouver this season!
  7. Currently in the VHLE playoffs, Guntis Gavilrovs' Stockholm Vikings are locked in an intense battle with hated rival Logan Ninefingers' Bratislava Watchmen. The series is currently 2-1 in favor of poopie face Ninefingers, but we expect the adonis Guntis Gavilrovs to tie it up and make it a best of 3. The first game went to Stockholm 3-2 and then Bratislava won game two 5-1 and then game three 5-2, so we expect a spirited affair in game 4 and for Stockholm as they really need to bring it. Guntis Gavilrovs has stated in pre-game media that he plans to shut down Ninefingers after allowing him to score 2 goals in game three, which he said was unacceptable and will not happen again. Gavilrovs doesn't care if he has to knock Ninefingers through the glass and out of the arena in order to stop him, he's going to do what needs to be done! The two behemoths almost went at it in game three after Bratislava went up big in the 3rd. Gavilrovs tried to drag Ninefingers into a fight but he did not accept the challenge and just pointed to the scoreboard. A furious Gavilrovs will be no doubt gunning for Ninefingers in game four, which is more or less a must win for the Vikings. We're confident that Stockholm can win this series and Logan Ninefingers will be left with nothing else to do but cry in his beer.
  8. 1. Had a great season in the E, top Dman in many categories, prob over performed. 2. My player would be a monster energy drink because he is max height and weight 3. Brian Payne before he retired, dude was an absolute beast. 3 Question: 1. Did you watch the outdoor games this weekend, what'd you think? 2. Is your team in post season, how are they doing, if not how is your golf game? 3. What is your players pre-game hype up song?
  9. Guntis Gavilrov continues to stand out above all other defenseman in the VHLE this season leading the position in points (73), assists (56), hits (275) and pims (180). Just an unbelievable season for Gavilrovs and he also leads the entire league in assists, hits, pims and is among the top in blocked shots (171). His excellent play this season has helped Stockholm to solidify the 3rd spot in the standings where they have been sitting comfortably for some time now. Recently they beat rival Bratislava with an impressive 4-2 victory to set the tone for what we expect will be an exciting first round playoff match up. Gavilrovs was getting into with with newly acquired Logan Ninefingers on Bratislava all game as the hated rivalry has carried over from Oslo after the trade. Gavilrovs and Ninefingers almost dropped the gloves in this one but cooler heads prevailed, which is surprising since both players have gigantic heads and short fuses. Anyway, Stockholm is playing well and proved they can drop Bratislava so there's no question anyone can win in the playoffs if/when they meet! One thing is for sure Guntis Gavilrovs has put together a truly impressive season from start to finish for the Stockholm Vikings especially from the blue line and has proved he is one of the top young defenseman in the game right now.
  10. 1. I picked them in fantasy because Liv is amazing so I'm not surprised, yes I think they can break the record! 38 goals. 2. Yes Sansoe has been great, should definitely be considered for the Funk. I won it once so I know these things. 3. Over because the team will be improved and we rule so I always bet on us being better. 4. I don't think anyone expected us to be a top team this season but always good to see the group click anytime of the seaosn 5. Top offensive defenseman and top overall Defenseman, could even make a case for defensive defenseman. Liv should win em all! 6. because he was bald.
  11. VHLE's Stockholm Vikings are surging lately with 6 wins in their last 10 games and are looking like a real contender with Bratislava and Cologne who continue to be jerks and won't let Stockholm pass them in the standings. The Vikings have recently strengthened the roster adding defenseman Barca and Verhault giving superstar bruiser Guntis Gavilrovs some help and relief on the blue line. Since the big trade the Vikings are playing well and seem to have found the right system the last week or so and are now really surging. It's possible they could catch Bratislava for 2nd, who were obviously feeling the pressure as they made a big trade to pick up all world forward Logan Ninefingers before the deadline. We all know about the hated rivalry between Gavilrovs and Ninefingers which will now certainly get spotlighted in the playoffs. It should be mentioned that Vikings star forward Riley Martin is dominating the league right now with 68 points in 52 games and teams can't handle his skill on a nightly basis. Gavilrovs continues to lead all defenseman in scoring with 58 points as well the league in hits and pims with 227/144. He's a goddamn animal out there.
  12. 1. Yes I do theme week because xtra tpe! Even if I have no idea whats going on in the league I do it! 2. Yes it's fine, the all star weekend in nhl was cool this yr 3. Yes I watched it all I have nothing else to do 4. I dont actively follow but if I noticed a new name in my teams box score I go look at the trade and how we got them 5. Maybe a center next for me but long career with this guy before that 6. Vancouver because everything Vancouver does is great in NHL or VHL!
  13. 1. I don't know a lot about the players moved but seems like a sensible deal given where we are in the standings and I trust our GM's. 2. Coe Caufield is a solid player, I like it because it's a good hockey name. 3. Another great name, reminds me of Panarin which means this guys has gotta be good. 4. Well I'm not up with the team yet so I will be ok but def will feel bad for you guys if you lose that much but it happens. 5. Draft another franchise player, just not a defenseman who is going to be on my pairing and steal my hits! lol 6. Probably something about the history of the league is usually good.
  14. The Gavilrovs vs Ninefingers rivalry has been escalating this week in the VHLE as their teams played each other three times! It should be noted that Vikings defenseman Gavilrovs scored a goal in every game against Oslo and two of them were opening goals, showing how fired up he was for these match ups! Stockholm was victorious in each game, 3-0, 4-2 and 5-1. However, Gavilrovs has been unable to check Ninefingers into his own bench yet, but it remains his sole objective each time they play. This past week the two players were jawing at each other after every whistle but have yet to drop the gloves.. I don't think the universe could handle these two monsters going at it, but it's definitely something fans are excited about. Draft Kings odd makers currently have Gavilrovs as a -110 favorite to win the fight which is actually pretty close and a testament to Ninefingers size and toughness. This tilt could go either way but #GavilrovsHaymaker is trending. The Vikings are playing well lately pushing their record to 19-15-4 and are 6-2-2 in their last 10. After picking up some help for Gavilrovs on the blue line the team is really looking strong and sit comfortably in 3rd place with a real shot at 2nd place if they can stay on a roll. Definitely a team to watch in the 2nd half of the season!
