It's not too long before the town notices that their numbers are a good deal smaller than that, though--it appears as though @rjfryman was killed by a JUGGERNAUT. He was, as he claimed, a PSYCHIC. Last will: ...that ain't it, either! @Berocka, a purported nothing-at-all-yet, has been found beaten to death with an American flag. Killed by the VETERAN, he was... Just when the town thinks they've found everything, there's a loud yeeting coming from the prison. @Z16 has been executed by the JAILOR! His role? Day 3! List of those alive (13):

Gustav noises! I'm older than I was yesterday, but my memory hasn't vanished enough that I've forgotten Town of Salem. It's @Alex Bridges going up for a hanging on Day 2. A majority was reached very quickly, and that just about sums up the day's events, short of a last-minute push for a flip. Does that happen? Of course it doesn't; it's last minute. The Grand Poobah rolls out of bed and realizes that some notifications need to be sent and some people need to be killed. ...did anyone think this wasn't going to happen? @Beaviss, in his first game, was attacked and killed by a member of the MAFIA on Night 1. The Grand Poobah stares at the time in the upper right-hand corner of his computer screen and waits for it to hit 9:00 PM so he can end the day phase. And probably ends up being a couple minutes late anyway by the time this is over as it takes longer than it should for him to write these things. It's the end of the first day! A couple claims, a reveal, and even a @Devise post make this quite eventful as far as first days go. And with that, Night 1 begins now! Send me your night actions, get your last wills in order, load up your grapeshot cannons, run a safety check on those bulletproof vests, do what you have to do. WE'RE BACK! After a brief hiatus, I'm back at the helm of the VHL's Town of Salem Games. Everyone get ready for some action and (I hope) a good time. We're introducing a new game mode, that being TOWN TRAITOR! Guidelines are as follows: Our role list for this game looks like this: 1x JAILOR 2x TOWN PROTECTIVE 2x TOWN SUPPORT 2x TOWN INVESTIGATIVE 1x TOWN KILLING 3x RANDOM TOWN 1x GODFATHER 1x MAFIOSO 1x TOWN TRAITOR 2x RANDOM MAFIA 1x NEUTRAL EVIL 2x RANDOM NEUTRAL 1x ANY OF THE ABOVE -I'm going with my usual starting and ending times as a general guideline: WHENEVER THE HELL I WAKE UP marks the start of each day phase, and 9 PM EST marks the start of each night phase. Those will be the times that I'll aim for, but, officially, the start of one phase and the end of another comes whenever I make the announcement. You'll be pinged. I will do my best to give out expected announcement times, but I reserve the right to kick off any phase at any time. -No talking in this thread during night phases. That goes for everybody, regardless of role. I have no power to lock this thread at night, and there's no official penalty for talking in here at night, but if you see one of your fellow citizens doing so, please yell at them for me. -Do not edit posts. I've been relaxed about not yelling at people who have, but editing is a sneaky way to take out potentially incriminating information. If you say something stupid, too bad. Don't change it. -If you are reasonably able to be online at the start of the night phases, please make an effort to do so. If you play the online game, you may be familiar with a Classic mode being the default, where many of the newer roles are not used. Time for another version of "Gustav is getting lazy and has to slap himself to go do the press conference": For the week ending the 12th of July! 1. Well, that does it for our season. Let's look ahead--what are your goals for S73? 2. The expansion draft is coming up on us. Looking at our team, who's the very first player you protect? 3. The finals come down to Riga and Calgary! Who wins? Who do you want to win? 4. The VHL comes out tomorrow and announces that all players will be rerolled in the offseason, with every point you've earned now being banked and ready to be applied. Do you change your build at all? What do you do with it? 5. What's one member of the league you'd like to meet in real life? (Obligatory disclaimer: if you are under 18, planning a meetup is not allowed per league policy) 6. Last week, Berocka asked you which expansion team will be the worst next season. Definitely one of the defensemen. I can't speak for ADV but as long as he's cool with playing for DC I don't think any ties to Malmo should get in the way of his career there.

Don't have to, it's just an option for people who'd like to request a role. Click the links in the first post to read up on the game a bit and feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Remember that game I ran while you were on vacation a while back where you were kind of there but kind of not? This is basically that but with more roles. The idea remains the same--it's a small group of people who can talk to each other behind the scenes and work together in private against a large group of people who can't and have to figure out who's evil and kill them. Evil roles will pretend they're good and the town has to figure out who's telling the truth. Here we've also got neutral roles which work for neither side and have to accomplish their own objectives. Read the rules and look through the wiki (links are at the top of the thread). It will be confusing and that's ok. When the game starts I'll message you your role and describe what exactly you're aiming to do with it.

NOTE: I've added a poll at the top because I didn't remember to do it last night. Sorry for the double ping of last game's winners, but all who want to are welcome to choose their preferred format.
