Soldado + Eriksen looked great today (especially Eriksen), nice goal from Siggy as well. Was hoping that the score wouldn't be as close, but I can't complain.

Janssen Slipping? VASTERAS, SWEDEN – With Season 37 marking the beginning of a new season, the Vasteras Iron Eagles hope to overcome the great disappointment that resulted from missing the playoffs last season. Now 20 games (almost a third of the way into the season), Vasteras sit at third in the weakened European Conference, behind the Riga Reign and ahead of the Cologne Express, the team that ended their playoff dreams in Season 36. The team seems to be gradually improving, however some believe that what holds the Iron Eagles back is the team’s lack of a star scorer. Many place the blame for this on team captain Willem Janssen. Janssen, who logged a career-best 71 points last season, has fallen to below a point per game, despite showing significant improvements in the offseason. Experts believed that the Dutch forward had the potential to become one of the league’s most dangerous scorers, however he has been unable to score in 9 games, and in that time has added only 6 assists. “I try not to overanalyze it,” said Janssen of his drought. “Obviously I don’t hope this turns into anything major that could hurt the team, but right now it’s not on my mind.”

Fuuuuuuuck. Most frustrating game of the season so far, so close to getting a goal. There was so many great chances created by Townsend/Chadli/Adebayor but no finishing. At least the team was actually putting effort into this game. If this continues, Spurs are bound to have at least one big win. Either way, both teams played well. Amazing goal from Rosicky too.

What about turkey legs?

Yes. Pretty much the same reason as Cowboy though.

First half was good for Spurs, but that first goal opened the floodgates. Hopefully the NLD goes a bit better. Also, I now have a newfound hatred for Samuel Eto'o.

12 Years A Slave - 9.5/10 Incredible movie. Great acting pretty much all around, it's a very sensitive subject matter that they covered but I think it was covered well. Chiwetel Ejiofor was amazing.

Is 300 a record for pre-draft TPE? IIRC, Kanou used to have the most and he had something like 280.

Nebraska - 9/10 Not a movie I've heard a lot of people talking about, but definitely one that deserved its Oscar nomination IMO. Love the cinematography and Bruce Dern was great. Some might say it's too slow paced, but that kind of fits the whole story - it's not exactly supposed to be an action-packed movie. Haven't seen 12 Years a Slave or Her and those are definitely at the top of my list to watch in the future. Probably going to see 12 Years a Slave tomorrow pre-Oscars.
