  1. - So I haven't really been active all week because I've been away on vacation. Once again, I have left all my point tasks to the last second so the Talli Talk series continues lol. I figured that I'll use this article to give an update on what I plan to do with Nils moving forward. - So this season has been a notable improvement for Nils. I feel like there is definately still another gear to be reached, but that will come with time and patience. I'm hoping that 50 points is achievable for this season, and then a ppg season will follow in S80. I have been debating whether Nils should up his checking attribute for a shot at two way forward awards, yet it takes a lot of TPE and produces a lot of penalty minutes. - As a two way forward, I am trying to focus a bit more on these attributes than the average VHL forward: DF PH FO ST But that's about it. Thanks for tuning in once again!
  2. 1. I feel like I’ve reunited with an old, annoying friend lol 2. Since then, we’ve gone absolutely crazy and established ourselves as one of the top teams in the league. I couldn’t be happier 3. I’m visiting my family for the week, and time is flying by 4. Me and Eagles watch the VHL games on TV and buy the MMA PPVs. We like to have watch parties and invite everyone over 5. It would be cool if Germany built more on their young guys like Stutzle and Reichel and became a top hockey country 6. It is a warm colour. They could relate it to the temperature I guess lol
  3. 1. I feel pretty good, it's been a lot of 1-1 sims but it could be a lot worse than that haha 2. I'm generally feeling good, yet I still want a bit more from Nils. 3. That's a tough one. I guess with a stat as broad as team goal differential, a change within it would have to come from contributions across the board from everyone. 4. I think RFJ would be my pick. He has put up back to back 40+ point campaigns in his rookie/sophomore seasons. A star in the making for sure. 5. I like Alex Parise. Lots of potential there, and the guy is quite active as well. 6. Luke Thornton can be like a Peter Forsberg with the way he dominates physically.
  4. - So I have this game on my phone called Hockey Legacy Manager 21 (HLM 21) which is essentially EA NHL franchise mode without the actual playing part. It's extremely well done, and as a fun little project I simulated a season where the Wranglers played in the NHL. I have all the stats saved and I'm planning on making a media spot at some point about it, so stay tuned for that. - The VHFL reports are back, and I'm pretty happy with how things are going so far. 3rd is nothing to scoff at, and I will also end up getting that sweet extra manager TPE lol. VHFL is easily one of my favourite little things in the VHL, and one that certainly encourages myself and others to pay attention to which players are currently dominating in the league. It has only gotten better and better since I joined too, with the top players lists releasing every season for the past little while. - Back in my earliest days in the VHL, I made graphics ever week that were wallpapers/backgrounds for each VHL/M team. I've decided to reboot that series for fun because I'm really lacking in the idea department lately. So look out for those. But yeah, that's about it for today. See ya next week!
  5. I am now boring lol - I am no longer the vibrant new member with creative juices flowing through my mind. I don't say that in a depressing manner either; Although it was great fun assembling monster media spots with extensive preparation on a weekly basis, I feel like I'm settling nicely into a position where I'm looking in from the outside on the amazing content creators of today's VHL. I started making scouting articles when no one else was, other than the VSN Mock Drafts that came along once a season. VSN Scouting wasn't even a thing yet. Nowadays, scouting content is regular and thriving in the community, whether it be VSN Scouting or independant writers giving their opinions on the draft. Let's talk about Nils - Honestly, I'm pretty happy with Nils' performance so far this season. Five points in six games is a nice step up from last season, and my linemates have been absolutely pooping off as well. The more I look at the makeup of this Calgary team, the more I think that there's a strong chance that S79 is THE season. I will certainly be trying to do my part by max earning all season and improving in any way possible. I look back on my cup in Riga, and there has truly been no other experience like it in the VHL. The way the locker room just exploded was unforgettable, and definitely one of the moments I'll take with me when I look back on my time in the VHL. Anyways, it's a little early for cup talk. The point is that I'm happy to see Nils doing well, and the team is looking like a real contender this season. That's about it, thanks for stopping by.
  6. @Minion has been skipped and can make up the pick at any time. @leafsman is on the clock

  8. 1. Definitely scoring, with a little bit of everything else sprinkled in. 2. September 2019. That feels like forever ago lol 3. I mean I am more than fine with the 14 uncapped haha 4. Keep earning steadily, and always make sure you're enjoying doing your point tasks. If it starts to feel like a chore, try to find creative new ways to make content, because it's all about enjoying yourself at the end of the day. Don't let the process of earning TPE become stale and monotonous. 5. Acquiring Dan Dan was huge for our team. 6. Over the pad, under the blocker.
  9. Hello folks, welcome back to Talli Talk. This is a casual series where I rant about certain things that are currently on my mind. This week, I’m gonna talk about a part of my VHL experience that I have just finished. What I’m referring to is my TPE Earning spreadsheet. I tracked every draft class’ TPE earning from week to week, colour coding their weekly totals and dividing capped and uncapped TPE. I have updated this spreadsheet every single week since late 2019, and now I’m finally shutting it down after stepping down as Calgary AGM. This was my main scouting resource, and one that I would gladly teach anyone else how to replicate. It allowed me to find some diamonds in the rough in the latter half of the draft, as its layout made it easy to find the BPA - and not just by order of TPE. You can check it out here, although it hasn’t been updated for a little while now. If you want me to show you how to make something like it to help with your scouting, just message me here or on discord. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Z3UmjHIkmoBNTRdw8dgQdp4kOVhVLVRgPADZOndKJUY/edit
  10. 1. Working on contributing more offensively. 2. Nice to see them win their first ever cup. Certainly a special moment for the team. 3. I watched the UFC event recently. Unfortunate ending in the main event, but it was a fun watch. 4. His present is my presence lol 5. Definitely BPA at that stage in the draft. 6. 43-26-3, 3rd in the division. Just a wild guess though I haven’t really kept up with the other teams rosters lately haha
  11. Would love to be manager again! I’m in
