  2. Rough one, gotta turn it around.
  3. 1. Halifax has had a very solid season thus far and sits fifth in the league through 34 games. Our offense is second best in the league (127 goals for) but our defense has been a big problem and has us seventh in the league (119 goals against). Would you like us to try and add some better defensive personnel or do you think it is a tactics issue? As the person assigned as the last line of defense for keeping the puck out of the net, I hope that I can make a positive difference for this particular deficiency. I grow as a goalie every week, and come playoff time, wish to be a brick wall. 2. With that said Halifax veteran β-MOS G1 has recently lost his job to newcomer Bruce Theodore. While Theodore has put up much better stats in his five starts are you going to miss β-MOS G1 at all? As per the multiple bags of flaming dog doodoo left on my front porch, absolutely not! Talk about a sore loser! 3. There is a team reunion dinner that includes some alumni scheduled for this weekend. The invitation says it is a potluck. What are you bringing for the team? As per local customs, an XL donair, and a 2-4 of Moosehead. Not sure what the rest of you are gonna have though. 4. If the dream of playing professional hockey for a living hadn’t worked out where do you think you’d be right now? Fixing up shopping carts for cash, and bouncing around in and out of jail. It's not so bad on the inside. Probably get a few cats as well. 5. We have been on a heater as of late going 7-3 in our last 10. Has anyone’s play over that stretch really caught your eye and impressed you? Passerelli for sure! Man has been on a major streak, putting up assists and making it look easy. Really putting the Pass in Passerelli! 6. Tell us a fun fact about yourself. We are all about getting to know our guys around the locker room better and this is a good place to start with some fresh faces around here. I can hold my breath for a really, really long time. Best time yet is 4 minutes, 22 seconds. Doc says to stop doing it or it might cause brain damage, but I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. But I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. But I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary.
  4. Another big game!
  5. A loss, but Theodore's best game yet!
  6. Finally a half decent stat line.
  7. Those shots!
  8. Interested in a Yahoo league if there's any spots available.

  10. Rough first game, but gotta keep the chin up!
  11. Review: Great Bio! Wonderful use of overcoming adversity, through both Ben's injury, and the death of his father. Leaves the reader wondering what happens next in Ben's career, will he regain the love and respect of his countrymen. Only critique is to watch for grammar, and sentence structure. Some words are missing in places and sentences run on a little. But with a long post like this, it happens!
  12. Review: Wow, what a story! Dave seems like the kind of guy you'd love to talk to over a beer and hear a tale or two. Ups and downs, extinguishing and rekindling his love affair with the sport, and all decisions made with his kids interests in mind. A very unique take on a player bio, whereas many approach the concept as a fresh young buck just starting their adult life, you've framed Dave as a man that has been there, done that, ready to show the kids how it's done in the VHLM.
  13. Review: Great rookie profile, just reading it made me want Storm on my team! Loved how you broke things down into strengths and weaknesses, and then again into individual skills. Made the profile very easy to follow and stay engaged with. Only critique is that there are some small grammar/punctuation errors. Word missing from a sentence, "the" instead of "that", but these are easy mistakes to make and miss when writing anything of a few hundred words or more, and people who get paid to do this kind of stuff do worse all the time. Great job!
  14. Review: Gotta love an NHL 94 throwback! Great work on the old school pixel art, and as mentioned above, a nice touch to use your teams jersey colors on the player. The team logo might be justtt a bit too high res for the retro style you're using, but take that with a grain of salt coming from someone who couldn't do it themselves. Great job!
  15. Review: Wonderful biography! Very down to earth, could easily be based on a true story for all anyone knows. Really enjoyed how Kris managed to overcome the adversity with his dad, as well that you touched on the very real issue with youth hockey these days, the cost. Many parents, just like Kris', are hesitant to get their kids involved because they simply won't be able to afford it.
  16. 4 game win streak!

  18. The Halifax 21st of the VHLM have had an eventful week, with the addition of a promising young goaltender, while at the same time going on a 4 game win streak. Halifax has signed the young netminder Bruce Theodore to a standard 1.5 million dollar contract for the rest of the season. Expected to be the teams new starting goaltender, Halifax is hoping that the addition is just what they need for a strong push for the Cup. The team has also been on a bit of a hot streak, currently sitting on a total of four wins in a row. Halifax managed to down Saskatoon twice, followed by Las Vegas, and Saskatoon once again. All 4 games were exciting, high scoring affairs, with Halifax scoring no less than 4 goals in each game, and putting up 6 against Las Vegas. The team hopes that they can continue their winning ways with the addition of their new goaltender, who is a significant upgrade over their current net duo. Regardless of how it turns out, the rest of the season should be an exciting one for the 21st.
  19. TSN(The Spudz Network) 3:30 PM, Halifax Nova Scotia. Article By: Spudz Mackenzie The smell of change(and donair meat) is in the air in Halifax today, as news has broken that the team has officially signed rookie phenom netminder Bruce Theodore. A signing that seemingly came out nowhere and caught most pundits by surprise. Sources say that the signing came to fruition early in the morning of Thursday, September 26, when Halifax 21st GM FonziGG met with Bruce Theodore in a local restaurant, King of Donair. The two reportedly bonded over an extra large, agreeing that lettuce does not belong on a donair, and as such, the bromance was formed. We’ve confirmed with the team that Bruce Theodore has signed for the standard 1,500,000 contract, and will be slotted into the starting goaltender role for the 21st. We reached out to Bruce Theodore for a comment on his new team, and contract: You can expect to see Bruce Theodore flashing leather this week as the Halifax 21st take on the top ranked Houston Bulls. Halifax currently sits in 5th place in the VHLM with a record of 18-10-1, and a 4 game winning streak. The addition of Theodore to the roster is a significant upgrade, as they are currently weak in the goaltending position, and may just be enough to make a strong championship run. Signing off for TSN, I’m Spudz Mackenzie.
  20. 1. Our fearless leader @fonziGG has announced that we will be making some changes to our locker room this week to bring it back to its once glorious self. Is there anything you would like to see stick around that is currently in the locker room? As a newly signed player, I cannot speak to any potential changes, as I am one myself! I have faith in the front office to make the right call on these issues however. 2. To much the same point as the question above is there anything you would like to see changed or added within our current locker room? Maybe something you have seen somewhere else that seemed to work? Similar response as above as a new player. However if they could add those fancy chocolate bars with the nuts to the vending machine, that would be great. 3. Where did your choice of jersey number come from? My player wears 94 for Leafs’ legend Sergei Berezin. What about you? This is rather embarrassing, but in all the commotion of joining a new team, I haven't gotten around to selecting a number yet! Expect an update on this situation in next week's presser! 4. Have the staff at the Halifax 21st been as helpful to you as you believe they should have been? Have they provided you with all of the information you think you require? I've only been a member of the team for about 20 minutes, but so far they have been nothing but friendly and supportive! Looking forward to the rest of the season with the team. 5. Is there any particular player on our team that you think could go on to have the best VHL career? We've got such a special group here, I could see each and every player on the team leaving a unique stamp on the league before their careers are over. 6. Do you agree with the choices for captains for the squad? Would you like to see a change in the way we select our captains in the future? I have complete faith in our captain. I expect them to lead us through the trenches to greatness. As for the process involved, I get paid to stop pucks not make decisions, I'll leave that to the suits. No more questions today lads, I'm late for a dentist appointment.
  21. After careful consideration, I believe Halifax is the correct choice for my career, and look forward to achieving great things together. Accepted!
  22. Thank you for the offer! I hope to have a decision made shortly.
