  1. The Brampton Blades lead the VHLM in points as the regular season draws to a close. However, they have yet to clinch the conference. The Lynx are only two points back (with one more game played) while the Wild sit at four points back and a game in hand. The Blades play the Wild in three of their remaining seven games. If Saskatoon manages to win all three games, then Brampton will be scrambling for first place. However, Saskatoon has not performed well against the Blades so far. Brampton has won all six games, and five of them in regulation. Ottawa has had much more success against Brampton, beating the Blades a total of four teams. More than any other VHLM team. However, the two teams won't face each other again in the regular season. The Lynx may have the best chance to win the conference. They have 6 games left and half of those are against eliminated teams, with only one other team in the North American conference. They will be hoping Saskatoon and Brampton take each other out in their final games against each other. What do you viewers think? Who will win the North American conference in this tight race?
  2. +2 TPE since my media hasn't been graded yet.
  3. The notification on the bottom right that said we could win NHL 15 interested me If we recruit someone and they say so when they create a player, do we have to do anything else to be eligible for the prizes?

  6. Helloooooo hockey fans! Thanks for tuning in to 69.9 The Blade! Today we have a very special guest, Mikko Koskinen. Koskinen was recently picked up by the Brampton Blades off of the waiver wire and he is very excited to be on this team. Brampton is the greatest VHLM team and destroys everyone. Every other team is bad and not good. Now for that interview! IN: Mikko, can you hear me? MK: Yes! I am glad to be here for this interview. IN: Thanks for taking the time to stop in and chat with us. Now, you are on the Blades who are having a record season. They are 50-10-1 and lead the league in points. How are you feeling about this season? MK: Oh, it's great. After every win, there is a special feeling in the air. We all know we are leading the league and have a chance to win the President's Trophy but everyone is afraid to say it out loud. We just keep focused on our game and look forward to the playoffs. IN: Are you disappointed with your stats? MK: I would like them to be better but there isn't much more I can expect. I am still adjusting to VHLM hockey and I understand that success isn't instantaneous. I know I am contributing and as long as the team is playing great, I won't be worried. I am currently on a line with two of the greatest players in the league(Tyrone Williams and Lukas Nykvist, who are being double shifted). I am learning so much from them and I will continue to work on my play. IN: That's all the time we have today, thanks for stopping by. NK: Thanks for having me.
  7. The Brampton Blades are perhaps one of the most surprising successes of the minor league this year. They are currently 50-10-1 and have already clinched a spot in the playoffs. Brampton is led by Terrence Fong, and he thinks the Blades have a legitimate chance at going all the way. There are also talks around the league that Brampton doesn't deserve to be as high as they are, and maybe they don't. They have zero players with 200 TPE, and only two players with over 100. For the most part, the team is a bunch of rag tag rookies who are bonding together and making the best team in the VHLM. The two biggest keys to their success has been their two players with over 100 TPE. Lukas Nykvist and Tyrone Williams. This scoring duo has 342 points in their 61 games played. Tyrone has 116 goals and Lukas has 96 assists. The two tremendous players go together like peanut butter and jelly. Lukas is that delicious, nutty paste that knows how to make a play and Tyrone is the sweet lubricant that slides it into the back of that net(or the back of your throat if we are still talking about jelly.) These statistics are good enough to be the top forwards in the league. Tyrone is first in goals, shots, points, powerplay goals, game winning goals, and game tying goals for any player in the VHLM. He is an electric force that is a top contender for MVP this season. Then there is Nykvist who can score but gets most of his points through dishing it out to Tyrone. Nykvist is top of the league in plus/minus, assists, and points for a center. This dynamic duo also holds the honor of being the two most efficient scorers in the league. Tyrone scores 2.38 points per twenty minutes of ice time and Nykvist has a respectable 2.13. That is good enough for first and second in the league. However, it takes more than two great players to make a team this great. Brampton also has depth scoring and a solid defensive core to backup a great goalie. Ikier Manushez has a 90% save percentage and is having a great regular season. Those stats aren't bad for a team with 5 defenders all below 60 TPE. As for the depth scoring, Brampton has the Backenbauer brothers. Hunter has 102 points and his brother, Hudson, has 117 points. They also have picked up several young rookies via the waiver wire. Bobby Ricky, Mikko Koskinen, and Emidas Blair are all new to the team and have already started making a big impact. 10 games and 14 assists in 32 games for Blair. Koskinen and Ricky don't have the stats but they have been great on both sides of the play. They have great potential and will be important to Brampton's playoff run if they want to go all the way. (Which they do )

  9. Why did it fail? Were rookies not active in it? Maybe that's because the LRs are at the bottom. personally, I like the LRs at the top because its what I like to check first when I get online.
  10. Yep. 2500+ posts and 20,000+ views in just the main discussion thread.
  11. So, I recently joined and I am still getting to know the site and the people. I was recruited from the SHL, and I am a big fan of hockey. One thing that I think the site could improve is locker rooms. First of all, I hate that the locker rooms are all the way at the bottom. I didn't even know the Blades LR existed until last night. Locker rooms are usually a player's first interactions with other players on the site and I personally think they should be on top of the front page. I still don't know most of my teammates, and I know nobody outside of my team(besides players from the SHL). If the LR was at the top, I would have seen it sooner, been able to interact with my teammates sooner, and I would know more people. When you don't know anybody, it is much harder to get into general discussions and learn who people are. Also, I think there should either be a LR for rookies or a LR for VHLMers in general. There is a rookie LR in the SHL (I know this isn't the SHL and I'm not trying to make it the SHL, but this is one great idea that has worked wonderful so far). The only people that have access are rookies, and the GMs of the junior teams. It allows rookies to get to know each other and have discussions about anything and everything. Plus, they get to know the GMs and the GMs can see who is most active. I think it would be great to have that here, as there are plenty of rookies and I think most of us don't even know each other. Once we become more comfortable with the site and talking with each other, we will be much more comfortable in discussions with VHLers and just general forums. I'm not really sure how to get this started but tfong suggested I come here to get a LR for rookies started.
  12. At least I'm on there! Koskinen will be a big name soon enough.
