  1. Bobby Ricky makes a friend After a month or so since being claimed off waivers by the Brampton Blades, Bobby Ricky has finally made a friend. The 18-year-old has struggled adjusting to life coming from North Dakota into Canada without his high school friends and his family. They say that time heals all and that is what seems to be in the process of happening here. This friend is unnamed as of now but according to my sources it seems like he is a drug addict and may be a terrible influence on a young mind like Bobby Ricky’s. To clear things up, I asked Bobby about his friend and he had this to say: It will be interesting to see how this new friend changes Bobby Ricky’s behavior in the future.
  2. Bobby Ricky scores his first point and… Its best to start at the beginning of this story… Well as you can saw it was both a moment of great jubilation and great turmoil as 18-year-old Bobby Ricky finally scored his first point for the Blades. In a moment where is lifetime of hard work finally paid off in seeing his name on the stat sheet, he wanted to celebrate like any person would do. After the game that night, Ricky hopped in a cap looking for a party in downtown Brampton. Knowing very little about Brampton, Bobby Ricky told his taxi driver to take him to the best club in town, which turned out to be only gay bar in town called the Horseshoe. Of course not knowing that the Horseshoe was a gay bar, Ricky entered excited and ready to party with the ladies but the only ones he saw were making out with other girls. While he enjoyed watching it happen, Bobby Ricky wanted to score some luck for his own but he only got glances from dudes at the bar who were wearing tank tops and short shorts. He was a bit confused but he didn’t care as he saw plenty of women around and figured he should just try his luck. As he went around the club, he started to notice the overabundance of guys making out with each other and the fact that everyone in this club was gay, except Bobby Ricky (maybe). As Bobby Ricky stumbled back to the bar to drink this situation away, a man approached him asking if he could buy Bobby a drink. Bobby declined his offer and told him that he was a hockey player for the Blades. Bobby Ricky to this guy he wasn’t gay but accidentally showed up to this gay bar because of his gay taxi driver and just wanted to drink the night away so he could forget this ever happening. The guy orders him a drink even though he declined his offer, but after Bobby took a sip of the drink, the next thing he remembers is waking up in some sort of bed with bright lights upon him. As he is waking up, the PR director for the Blades is by his bedside looking rather pissed off. As Bobby sits up, the PR director asks what he remembers from last night and Bobby replies: The PR director is in a bit of shock as she decides to show him this YouTube video of him running around like he’s on fire with a racing helmet on. Then she goes on to tell him how he was put in the hospital for 24 hour watch but ended up stabbing his leg to prove that he had become paralyzed. Bobby Ricky, looking calm said: With that we have a player celebration attempt gone wrong. Bobby Ricky somehow managed to not miss any games because of this incident but one has to wonder what this will do for his draft stock.
  3. I'll take 1st pick in the 3rd round but I do plan on upping my stock before the draft
  4. I'm excited to see how many teams are interested in me, especially since I know nothing about the league
  5. I'm not to happy being in this draft class but it should be interesting to see how I do
  6. Bobby Ricky Forward Points Goals
  7. Mark it ladies and gents. Bobby Ricky's first point!!!
  8. Bobby Ricky Struggles Continue It seems like last week that Bobby Ricky was claimed off the VHLM waivers by the Brampton Blades to help them reach the championship this season. Ricky joined the top team in the VHLM and was expected to provide some scoring depth to a team with the best goal scorers in the league already. However, things have not gone to plan early on as through ten games, Bobby Ricky has not got a single point and has only got four shots on goal. While the struggles were expected early on for the 18-year-old Bobby Ricky, the fact that he hasn’t scored a single point in ten games is something that may worry fans of the Blades. While Ricky wasn’t recruited out of high school, he was expected to have serious skill in scoring the puck which has not worked so far in his early professional career. He looks to be overmatched during his time on the ice and doesn’t seem to have the confidence needed to succeed at this level. It was reported by one scout that Bobby Ricky can’t get out of his own head on the ice and it looks like Ricky wants to play it safe then to play aggressively to create scoring chances for himself. On the practice ice, the coaching staff is ecstatic at what potential Bobby Ricky has but with the knowledge that he won’t be available for them next season, they are concerned that he isn’t performing in games. They have faith that he can start performing for them come playoff time but we decided to catch up with the 18-year-old right wing Bobby Ricky after practice. Reporter: So how has your time as a professional been so far? Bobby Ricky: It’s been good and bad to be honest. I like getting paid to play hockey for sure as well as the step up in competition but being in a new place that I’ve never been before is scary for a kid fresh out of high school. Reporter: Understandable. How has your relationship been with your teammates? Bobby Ricky: Good overall. I know in high school I got in plenty of fights with teammates but I can learn a lot of these guys so I’m trying my best to be that player they can mentor. Reporter: Your struggles on the ice have been evident in your early games with the Blades. What are you trying to do to improve your game? Bobby Ricky: You’re right, I’ve played like shit since I got claimed by the Blades but I know that I’m gonna get better with time. People seem to forget that I’m making a jump straight from high school to professional hockey as a player that colleges wouldn’t even look at. I just have to keep working as hard as I can to keep improving and help my team win a championship. Reporter: Final question for you Bobby, where do you see yourself as a player in five years? Bobby Ricky: Well I would like to be one of the best goal scorers in the VHL but I know that I have a lot of development to do before I reach that level. I really think that I could become a player that is one of the best in the league. Reporter: Thank you for chatting with me today and I wish you luck in the future.
  9. Bobby Ricky struggling to adjust Bobby Ricky was claimed off of the VHLM waivers by the 1st place Brampton Blades squad and has not made an impact yet for the team. Through ten games since Bobby Ricky has joined the team, Ricky has scored zero points and for a player that was touted as a scoring machine he has only put four shots on goal. It was expected that he would not fare well early on in the professional game but they have to hope he can develop more as the playoffs get closer. The Blades don’t necessarily need Ricky’s potential scoring ability though as they have Tyron Williams (88 goals) and Lukas Nykvist (52 goals) each scoring over one goal a game for an offense that may be the best in the league. The Blades look to have a major chance at winning the championship this season behind those two offensive stars.
  10. Another win for the Blades and the debut for Bobby Ricky!
  11. Good win guys. Hopefully I'll be suiting up soon
  12. Yeah sorry I ruined a thread where you were complaining about something that you are overreacting to... my bad
  13. You don't get anything done. All you do is create headaches and problems, no matter what league you're in
  14. You should care about building a good player and you lost my respect so long ago because you treat everyone like trash
  15. All I'm saying is that Miller won't be shit compared to Bobby Ricky. You don't work hard enough and it will be to easy to be better than you
  16. Oh wow you did something besides claim welfare... Good for you
