With more teams than ever it honestly will be more and more common that people don’t make the finals or win cups during full careers.

I can’t decide what’s worse, not making the finals or continuously making them and not winning. I was finals-less for 20 seasons between 46 and 66 and it fucking sucked but have now made the finals I think 4 times since 66 and lost 3/4 of them, it kinda stings even more to get that close and lose.

I swear we used to have one of these but I realized chatting with @fishy earlier that it’s either been killed or buried or lost to the sands of time so seems best to start a new one. Get to know your fellow VHLer’s and maybe learn a thing or two!

It’s always the slightly tricky part with having ads done. It’s not something that can be explained well in 30 seconds but to go into too much detail is likely to just overwhelm. I assure you we are humans though, have been for the full 14 years the league has been running. It definitely gets you hooked.

This isn’t the lottery, it’s the lottery tournament. Doing better gives you better lottery odds, doing worse gives you worse lottery odds. As for the lotto in general it’s not complicated: we just put the lotto teams in with their final odds, hit go, and it spits out the order. The only real extra rule to it is that you can only drop a max of 1 spot in the draft so if the team in the Third spot, for example, gets drawn for the lotto win then spots 1 and 2 get pushed down to 2 and 3 respectively. Make sense?
