Near the end of the season the position will be opened up to either him or the general population for a permanent position but for now he should be regarded as the GM of the team with all the permissions that entails.

Right, I never could figure out how to remove that claim. @Kylrad if you wish to re-sign with Chicago it’s probably fine, I don’t see a reason to be concerned. If you don’t we’ll figure something out.

It has come to my attention that the “Open Free Agency” page was running off the old rules (forum posts in the last 30 days) for activity rather than the new rules, updates in the last 30 days. I apologize for the confusion and ask the VHL GM’s to bring forth any members that should be labelled as active but were labelled as inactive, I will correct them as they around found. This player has been correctly changed over to active and can be treated as such.

Wouldn’t that be a bit of a nightmare for updaters? Can you even link to statuses? I just don’t see how it’s different enough vs. Just writing a 590 in character (as people used to) instead of the usual “I’m going to ramble for 150 words.” Getting it to the forum means you have more interest from me than you have before mind you.

Second place and the manager point puts me to first place TPE, won’t see me complain about that.

I know we planned on making some changes to it so it might be that we skip it for a season while we figure stuff out? We would have needed to start the drafts by now I think.

Tbh our normal donation system is just fine. Our overhead costs aren’t that high so donations provide us plenty to work with. The league does obviously need cash flow to stay afloat but nothing substance enough that we would need a P2P model.

Or any other source of uncapped which happens quite a bit. The last couple of seasons have also had later than normal deadlines so that doesn’t help. Edit: better version above from @Spartan actually running the math. The E is possible to skip. Is it difficult? 100%, it’s supposed to be. It’s like a 1-2 person per draft class sort of thing. Most people will play 1 season in the M and 1 season in the E, that’s why we addd the extra career season.

This is just straight up not true.

It’s almost as if we thought of this and added an extra career year to account for it, allowing members to still get 8 career years. Skipping the VHLE is doable but it’s supposed to be difficult.
