  1. There’s no “choosing” to pass it though. The portal will be set up the same way it is now, once 200 TPA is hit if you are on a VHLM roster you cannot apply more TPE, you can only bank it. Again, the exact specifics of a VHLM player hitting 200 before their M draft is still being discussed.
  2. Also of note, I have made a new group for the @VHLE Commissioner team (which also resulted in the mod colour changing). They’ll need one of our handy little group icons but that can be sorted. To be honest I made those literally years ago so it might be time for an update anyway.
  3. Live sims will follow the same as they do in the other two. As I said before, it’s a transparency thing which isn’t related to a specific league. As for who’s simming / the rotation: it’s likely @Quik or @Josh will move to full time simmer but it’s not confirmed yet. Rotation wise, in all likelihood, they will sims exclusively the VHLE and @Devise and I will continue to rotate between the M and the VHL. Again though, this is all subject to change.
  4. I think everyone is assuming this is automatically going to be a bigger overarching change than it is. The fundamentals of how the league operates won’t change so how the M cap works is no different. As per your question, that’s currently being discussed.
  5. Hard TPA cap but soft TPE cap, same as now. So you can earn past 200 but you can’t apply past 200 and anyone who’s at the cap at the cutoff is sent up.
  6. The question thread isn’t supposed to be for people who don’t want to bother reading the actual announcement…. But yes. The floor of the VHL will be 350 TPE but if you get to that before the cutoff in your draft season you can skip the VHLE and go straight to the VHL.
  7. Putting them in the draft should be fine. The mostly likely course of action will be players declaring their intention before the draft if they fit into bracket, allowing them to be picked up in the draft.
  8. You’re both saying the same thing I think, just referring to the off-season differently. The next draft is S79 which will be only the M and the VHL. The draft after is S80 which will be the VHLE’s first season. So we have at least 3-4 months to finalize things.
  9. Yeah, we’re talking about usually like a week between the draft and the cutoff date so even with off season bonus stuff you’re looking at people who are above ~325 at the draft and even then it’s an option for them, not a guarantee. It will be very rare to have any draftees being guaranteed to go straight to the VHL.
  10. A lot of you have been, understandably, asking questions after the Announcement last night and while we’re doing our best to answer them all as best we can some are likely to get missed; especially if we don’t have the answers yet or if they get buried in the announcement or on discord. That’s why I’m making this thread. If you have any questions regarding the VHLE this is the place for them! I can’t promise we’ll have answers right now but we’ll try to get them for you as quickly as we can.
  11. @Domg5 all finished up, list is in your OP if you want to go over it and make sure I didn’t screw up somewhere.
  12. Ah I see you made sure to stop the quote before the HoF part…
  13. Hard to say for each gen but based on our math there’s likely around 66 players that would fit into the bracket which lines up well for 6 teams.
  14. Bragging rights and extra stats are still something if people want that route. The intention is for everyone to go through the VHLE so we didn’t want to make it too advantageous to skip but there is some benefit present.
  15. Just needs to average 66.77 goals per season for 9 seasons. No problem.
  16. It’s fine, I just deleted the extras
  17. I got that from the other 3 times you said it
  18. Did you read the announcement at all? I mean it’s not much different than the players who go up at 250 right now. You trade a worse rookie season for some extra stats.
  19. I’d argue they already aren’t choosing to play much under it. 99% of players don’t play when they are under the VHLM’s 250 cap anyway and a number of those stop just shy of that limit and enter the VHL at 350 anyway. This arguably just gives them a better place to spend that time than in the developmental league. I do get the concern though that it adds a step and that is why we extended the career clock as well. It is our hope that most players who would normally take this path and therefore only get 7 years will actually get the full 8 now. In addition to that if they take extra time they won’t be hit by depreciation as hard like they are now. So it’s a bit less choice (which many of them weren’t choosing anyway) in exchange for some increased quality of life improvements.
  20. Didn’t take in pier 21? It is the namesake of the team after all.
  21. @Sixersfan594 I really don’t want to have to DQ you on the last pick of the draft, come on bud.
  22. To give a bit of perspective if I remember my count correctly: going back as far as S70 there would be a dozen it would realistically apply to as an option (people around 325-350 at the draft) and only 1 that would have been a guarantee (was at like 390 or something at the draft) So it will happen but we’re talking maybe 2 people per draft who will realistically be able to do 9 season careers and even fewer, like 1 per generation, that is guaranteed to do it.
  23. We’ll keep an eye on the numbers but in all likelihood I don’t see them getting used. With lower TPE numbers there should be slightly more breathing room down there.
  24. We offer the man Vasteras back and he still demands more smh
