New Year, New you right? Or rather new year new us? I don’t really know where I’m going with that. What I am doing is writing what that pesky OBC never does right: Asking what the community wants. Okay that’s enough sarcasm I reckon. So here’s the deal, the VHL has needed to constantly evolve since it was created 16+ years ago. It was an evolution of the sim league model at the time and it has continued to re-invent itself over the years in order to stay relevant and at the forefront; I have no intention of stalling that evolution and I know none of the others on the RGB teams or the @BOG does either. That doesn’t mean, however, that we think we exclusively have all the ideas. So, here we are with me going rogue and posting this without chatting with anyone else. I wanna know what your New Year’s Resolutions for the league would be. What do you want to see improved in 2024? Try to be constructive about it and come up with solutions instead of just vague issues as best you can, any kind of just meaningless complaining will likely be hidden and I don’t really feel like doing that. We’re going to be damn near S100 when we finish 2024 (S97 finishing up by my right estimate) and I for one want that kind of insane milestone to be something really worth celebrating so let’s make the league a better place together shall we? Safari is best browser on mac, I will always stand by that. Runs the fastest, steals the no data*, works with everything else on the machine better. I have seen some crazy people run safari on windows mind you, that hurts my brain. I'm also pretty sure it's not even offered anymore. *Or certainly a lot LESS data

Hello @Members! I'm excited to announce that we have made our charitable donation for the year of $1656 to Doctor's Without Borders! Additionally you all donated $1804 separate from the league bringing our total for the 2023 Holiday Charity drive to $3540! I'm always amazed to see the league come together and make such a difference in the world, it's great to see. You all want some rewards I imagine though don't you? Well it was close but thanks to being $40 over the $3500 threshold we have once again hit every community goal which means every member of the community can claim 20 uncapped TPE and a PT Doubles week! It also means all our community items were met which means: @twists will stream a declaration of his love for everyone that's been active in the past week. @DarkSpyro will perform some Christmas themed metal songs @Grape will do a full stream of all the Five Nights at Freddy's games. @Acydburn will stream something, he just hasn't decided what yet. @Beketov will once again stream Zoo Tycoon 2 Ultimate and name animals after VHL members. As mentioned in the OP, unfortunately to keep things fair and not have a bunch of future creates claiming this: Rewards may only be applied to players created on, or before, December 25th, 2023 We'll get that stuff all scheduled as well as the raffle draw scheduled soon so keep an eye out for that and, once again, thank you all for making this time of year in the VHL so special!

Season 91 Experience Points Congratulations to all @Members for the completion of another successful VHL season, as well as to Toronto for taking home the Continental Cup. As always, with the season finished, all VHL players have earned some more experience based on the length of their campaign. In addition, anyone who participated in the VHLM or VHLE in S91 is eligible to claim 3 Experience points. How to Claim Claim experience in the Player Management area by clicking the 'CLAIM UNCAPPED' button, select Off-Season, then select Experience from the dropdown. Enter the amount of Experience you are eligible for as described below and link to this thread.  Once approved, the Experience will be added directly to your player's experience attribute. You do not need to apply it yourself.  NOTE: YOU CAN NOT CARRY OVER EXPERIENCE POINTS EARNED BY A RETIRED PLAYER ONTO A RECREATE  POINTS Full VHL Season - 5 Points Partial VHL Season - 2 points (Less than 72 GP in VHL, unless due to a trade) Playoffs - 2 Points Finals - 1 Point VHLE (Any Amount) - 3 Points VHLM (Any Amount) - 3 Points Example: Mac Atlas played for Toronto and won in the finals. They get 5 for a full season, 2 for playoffs, and 1 for finals. After 9 seasons players are auto-retired when we enter the off season. Because he was a S83 player that means he was retired at the end of S91.
