  1. Some of you may be wondering how much or if any talent comes out of the Ol’ Emerald Isle. Well I can tell you that Ireland has produced one of the lesser known VHL prospects in Kelly Power. The winger has plenty of upside and is hoping to prove that with the Los Vegas Aces this season. While he isn’t impressive in the points department, he wants to bring a two way game. As they say, a goal saved is a goal scored.

Now where did Kelly come from exactly you ask? Well he’s from Waterford, Ireland and has been practicing ice hockey from a very young age. He used to play both defense and forward on his peewee team but was officially moved to a forward before his formative years. This most likely explains why he sees defense in his own zone as a huge priority.

In his secondary day school days he started playing in the EIHL in the United Kingdom. He would play for the Belfast Giants and was impressive there finishing top 3 in points on the team as he proved to be a reliable player for the squad. The next season he would lead the team in points in route to a championship win and challenge cup win.
However even after all these accomplishments, Kelly was severely overlooked because of the league he played in and because he want from a big hockey market. That’s how he managed to fall to Los Vegas in the draft. The scouting department clearly did their homework as they will be getting a good top 6 player until he possibly enters the VHL.

Kelly is a very proud Irishman and as such won’t shy away from defending his honor. Although, he doesn’t seek out fights and this shouldn’t make him seem like a goon in any sense of the word. He seems to be a good teammate to those he plays with and a fierce competitor to those in his way. His drive will get him places over the next few years.
Kelly Power is also a part of a grass roots movement to have the Northern Irish territories of the United Kingdom returned to Ireland and the allowance of Ireland to create their own National Team. Although, this has not gained a lot of traction it shows  he keeps his heart with his home and family. Loyalty like that is great to see on a young athlete, as if you’re going to risk a pick on a player like Kelley you want him to hit and stay for cheap so you can help win a cup or two. If you treat him right he will show the same respect.

If I had to predict Kelly’s draft spot it would be mid 3rd round with high second being the ceiling. He could fall later then the 3rd which would mean any team getting him will have a steal.
Watch out for this man in the coming future, and good luck to any General Manger that drafts him

  2. Actually nice to have the city in the background for edits like that. I have one as my background like that. So I really approve lol. Mine is one of terry sawchuck from the movie goalie (so not the real Sawchuck)

keep up the good work ? 9/10

  3. We aren’t projecting a crazy career for Los Vegas Forward Kelly Power. However, we expect him to be a player with top 6 potential and a guy who would at worst bring you some depth scoring down the stretch. He could even contribute some minutes on the 2nd penalty kill unit or even power play. He’s a well rounded player who we see projecting as a final depth piece for a team looking to be competitive.

Kelly also will be looking to make a on spot on the Western Europe International Team, he even disgruntledly stated  that, “We should have our own team” referring to the fact Ireland has to play with other nations including England, who they have a long standing strained relationship with.
Kelly isn’t listing the league up right now, but that’s expected from a third line rookie. Expect him to develop nicely and make a push for a mid round pick in the VHL. He has no favorite team he’s hoping to play for as long as whatever team he plays for has number 98 available for him to wear. “That’s really important to me. Any team that lets me have my number will have a loyal player”.
Kelly also wants to play for one team his whole career if the team that drafts him let’s that dream become a reality. “It’s not common to see it happen anymore in today’s league, but I want to give one fanbase my play for all of my career. I hope that teams respect that. If they are loyal to me I’m loyal to them. I’m a simple man”.

Well looks like we might have a lot to look forward to in the next few years. We will make sure to keep an eye on this young Irishman as he grows into his role in Los Vegas. Expect big things from the young man before the draft hits.

Answer these questions for 2 Capped TPE

    1) So the season's begun! We're currently tied for 3rd in league standings.  How do you feel about our performance so far?

    2) The Aces haven't won a cup since S64, does this add to the pressure of succeeding this season?

    3) Who's your favourite locker room buddy so far?

    4) What sort of nickname do you want to have in the LR? Or if you already got one or can't think of any, who's got the best sounding nickname?

    5) Which player across the league is exceeding expectations so far? Do you think they'll continue exceeding expectations??

    6) If you were to recreate, what position would you go for next? Why?

    1) I feel like we can only go up from here so here’s to the season continuing to progress well. Hopefully we show our true colors ?

    2) I feel like it might a little because we have a shot at winning this year and we need to prove we can get back to our winning ways. This is the perfect season to do so.

    3) um I’m not sure. Everyone on there seems to be pretty cool but I’m still getting adjusted lol

    4) Probably Paddy, since it refers to St. Patrick who is often associated with Ireland. This is of course cause my player is Irish

    5) Strong looks like he off to a pretty good start so hopefully he continues to help the team out. I hope we get to see him torch in the post season

    6) Honestly I would love to do a defenseman or goalie. Cause that would be fun only thing is there are a limited number of goalie spots lol

Interesting backstory, you explained so much I feel like I know ya. Should take a look at career tasks because you could easily do them.. Not too wordy at all, if anything it's perfect for my eyes/brain, just enough text plus you stayed on topic the whole time. Excellent job my fellow Ace :)

Thanks man I appreciate it lol, just wanted to show my proud Irish heritage lol

  7. Okay this may be a bit worded but here it goes

Hey goes in new here I won’t be active on website much except for claims and stuff but on discord you can message me at Nordin#6819

After that note, hey you guys can call me Nordin and I want to tell you why I chose my player name and number.

My player is Kelley Power, he is an Irish forward from the area around Waterford, Ireland (near Cork). My grandma’s (on my dad’s side) family hails from Waterford, Ireland. They were the Power(s) and they were the Irish Clan that rules the area for hundreds of years. I’m very proud of that heritage and one day I hope to visit there at the family reunions where people from all over the world attend.

Well my family moved here because of Oliver Cromwell cracking down on Ireland after they supported King James (who was excited by Cromwell). The “punishment” was fierce and brutal. And most Irish clans were forced to give up power. My ancestors lost their land and titles which would prompt them to come to the colonies in the americas in the coming years where at least three of them would serve in the American Revolution for the Unites States. So that’s where I got the idea for the last name, as for the first name it’s another Irish clan name and also a common Anglo-Irish First name so it didn’t take me much time to think of the first name.

I will be wearing number #98 for a similar reason noted above.
In 1798, the Irish people (influenced by both the American and French Revolutions) revolted against the British crown. They failed and many fled to the United States.

my number 98 is a tribute to that

On a side note, most Irish Immigrants came over to the US around 1653 (Cromwell Suppression), 1798 (Irish Revolution of 1798), and 1845 (the Irish Great Potato Famine of 1845). Just a fun fact lol.

My player render will be Brian Lawton since only three players in NHL history have worn 98. So I only had 3 options between Brian Lawton, Jesse Puljujarvi, and Mikhail Sergachev.

So I didn’t have many options lol.

Anyway I hope that wasn’t too long of an Explanation but I wanted to show you guys I chose everything specifically and   It want just random lol.

  8. 1. Not going to lie the new logo is very clean. It looks much better then the old logo, although both are good. But this seems just a little more professional then the old one.

    2. No I want to stay here. You guys drafted me and I want to prove that was a good choice. I hope to play here well before I get into the VHL

    3. Um, I’m not sure what opportunists there will be this offseason but we will see. If it helps get in shape and everything sure I’ll do it 100%. Even if it’s just for fun.... why not lol

    4. In real life? Well my parents moved to Los Vegas from Michigan in the  early 1990s because Michigan had severe economic ills and he got a job at a casino as security (he’s a cop now so he kept with that). When they moved there they kept with the Red Wings (mind you this was before they were true contenders) because they wanted to keep pieces of home by continuing to follow out sports. They became huge fans and eventually moved back in either 97 or 98 after the wings won one of their two back to back cups. They kept following it and when I grew up loving the Red Wings a lot. My favorite player ever is Zetterberg hands down.

as for sim I used to do SHL for a bit and got out of it. Then a few weeks ago I found EFL joined and found the VHL affiliate so yeah I combined the two and I am enjoying it lol.

    5. I think we show potential and you know in hockey any team can get hot. In other words, don’t count us out because we could do some damage this year. I will do what it takes to help us realize that potential

    6. I don’t know many people so I don’t have Any guys I would have liked to play with. So I guess I’ll say, all I want to do is play here with my teammates where I belong

  9. I really like the top 4 graphics man. The combination of the statistics and the player render make it seem very official. Like if you showed a hockey fan this and told him it was a Minor League image or something he wouldn’t bat an eye. Really nice work man, keep it up ?

    10/10 ?
