  1. 1: Does your player do anything unique with their equipment? (Jersey Tuck, Colored laces, tinted visor...) He usually wears black visors during regular season games, changing to orange visors during the playoffs (as a nod to his native Netherlands). 2: Do you expect your player to be more dialed in due to the holiday break? He'll probably talk a lot with his family members from abroad while also prepping up his papers to join the University of Cologne. 3: Do you think the VHL should have an all-stars game? That would probably be nice. 5: Which Davos player do you think your player gets along with the most? I doubt they have any problems with Sunrise and vice-versa. 6: What are your player's New Year’s resolutions? Finish hockey career in style. 7: If you had to get an NHL jersey right now, which one and what name would be on the back? Probably a Detroit jersey with Carvalho or Mateus on the back.

The Alaskan Reindeers.8: Which year was your favorite Christmas and why? Ah, gotta be last year's. Had the house for myself, had a nice little lunch with mom before actual Christmas' Eve night and the rain on the 26th wasn't too shabby... though that's when father came back home, eh.

Eh, I never sweated that sort of stuff so I was always fine about it. 3: What kind of sponsorship would your player accept? I don't think he'd accept any. Chilling. 3 - What did you have for dinner? I'm hungry... Last night? Chicken breast with salad. It's diet food. 1. What was your favourite season so far in your current player's career? 2. And all-time? 3. Do you have plans for your next player?
  8. 1. Early predictions at whos going top 3 in this seasons draft? I'll pass, never been good with draft predictions myself.2. What is your players plan for the off season? They going to resign? Go on Vacation? I'm pretty sure I agreed to another season in Chicago and I fully intend to play that through. I'll probably just chill out and focus on other duties instead.3. Its Friday! (at least at the time of typing this) What are your plans for the weekend if any? Well, I planned on chilling and enjoying my new notebook. Right now, I'm sitting on the couch, watching Madureira x Nova Iguaçu while typing this. 1. What's your favourite playoff memory? 2. And what's your least favourite playoff memory? 3. Do you think any of the teams that missed the playoffs had what it takes to win it all?
  9. 1. With the end of the season coming up, how do you feel about the way your player has performed. Eh, kinda miffed that I couldn't land anywhere in the top ten scorers but that's life. 2. If I had to guess, I'd say that the changes to the meta and the attribute system are going to lower scoring significantly. How do you feel about the current level of scoring? Is it too much? I wouldn't be able to answer that, to tell you the truth. The place I'm more used to just threw STHS off a cliff and went with FHM instead. 3. What's your favorite thing you own that doesn't cost a lot of money? Chilling on a hammock during a nice, clean skies day. 1. What's your favourite hockey-related media? Like a movie, a book, a web comic, a manga, whatever. 2. What's your opinion on fighting in hockey? 3. If we didn't have penalties for it, would you put everything on fighting?
  10. That's certainly creative, I'll say. Hope it works out for y'all.
  11. 1. If you could choose one NHL player to model your VHL players career after who would it be? Lemieux but without the illness. 2. What's more impressive in a 72 game season, 50 Goals or 70 assists? 70 assists. It means someone else had to go and score those goals. 3. What's your go-to toppings on a burger? If you don't eat burgers, then what's your favorite food? I think my fave dish would be a salad with chicken. Preferably paired with some yerba mate tea. 1. What country do you wish to travel to one day above all else? 2. What's your preferred activity for summer? 3. What do you think about the upcoming Pokémon games?
  12. 1. Tell me your preferred writing utensil without telling me your preferred writing utensil.] I don't have any. Writing is an act I appreciate but picking a specific object is needless. 2. Imagine you have the opportunity to instantly acquire and be a master at a new skill. What do you choose and why? Being able to master any martial art technique by merely watching it. 3. What is a cool thing about you that you don't get to tell people because they'd think you were bragging? If you could recommend me a game, which one would you recommend? 2. If you could recommend me a book, which one would you recommend? 3. If you could recommend me a movie, which one would you recommend?
  13. To examine the circumstances around one, oneself has to be able to observe the situation around them with the look of an outsider. So far, the Dutch winger Sunrise van de Schubbekuteveen couldn't see the events around him as anything besides peculiar. From what he was told, he had been selected for one of the skill events and the All-Star games themselves, something that sounded rather funny in retrospect, for he had spent the past seasons trying to battle the tides of opposition to what was essentially fated as repeated failure. Yet, here he was, perhaps due to rules of elimination, serving as an All-Star for his beleaguered Chicagoans. Luz insisted that it was an advantageous situation, a moment of pride for him but it didn't quite land on him that well. He rated his honour more on things that were related to the team he was supposed to defend, after all, not the team he was selected to be on a technicality. The more he thought about it, the more it tasted odd, the more it felt off. And he already felt that by the skills competition bit, where after essentially being placed last in the list and given a jersey that, to his chagrin, didn't even have his surname written right on it; he decided to amuse himself by touring the entirety of the rink as "preparation", passing the puck off, goofing off a bit while taking in the sights and then scoring to a flat thud. Once the pleasantries were over, Sunrise skipped into the night, only making sure to take his girlfriend with him back home. He exchanged some words with the owner of the house he was staying at (a rather usual occurrence that started once she returned from a business trip back in Australia) before going to bed. While Luz remained in very good spirits after the whole ordeal, saying that it was a dream come true and that she was pretty pleased to see him doing his best on ice, the Dutchman might as well have clocked out in the early hours of the day and he probably wouldn't have missed it all that much. Sure was a fun sight to see people relaxing and fans that were willing to eat the most basic things up like it meant the world to them but it all packed inside his mind to a jarring point. It was a big moment, wasn't it? Then why was it so superfluous? Why did it feel like something that just happened for the sake of it? Why was he not taking in the heat of the event? Was it all just meant to be some sort of curiosity, a side event to the regularities of another year in North America, away from his friends and family? It was the sort of thing that kept him at night. The kind of stuff he couldn't quite shake off, the lack of help from Luz also meant that this was something new to her as well. His thoughts warped in circles before he finally conceded the point and went to sleep. The next day was war. Again.
  14. Huh. Didn't expect to show up for that. Still, curious.
  15. 1. What do you like to do in your free time that's not hockey-related? Loads of stuff, like watch soccer, play table tennis. I also dig old video games... and I guess I'm playing Pro Wrestling Simulator recently when I have the time. 2. If you could get rid of one color, what would it be and why? None. Colours make life fun. 3. What's the most creative player name you've seen in the VHL? Dunno, I don't pay much attention at player names myself. 1. If you could relocate a team in either VHL, VHLE or VHLM, which one would you relocate and why? 2. Where would you relocate that team? 3. Any places you think should have a team at any league?
  16. To Sunrise, the excitement present around him didn't make much sense. Luz had basically tugged onto his arm for most of the trip to the local arena, moving him forward towards the mass of fans who, themselves, happened to be very joyous for what was on the way. Sunrise was familiar with the idea of wrestling, though he assumed that was more something akin to a mix of a fighting tournament and an overly elaborate soap opera. He remembered people were very much keen towards it back in Mexico City, he was pretty sure one of his neighbors was a former wrestler herself but he knew better than to pry and ask. Besides, it's not like he cared, wrestling wasn't his cup of tea. He knew people cared for it and he wasn't gonna try to sour it for others but it wasn't interesting enough. But, Luz insisted, this wrestling show was something special. It was the first time the almighty... Almighty International Wrestling Alliance, or AIWA for short, visited the city of Chicago. This meant that such superstars of the squared circle like the Sicilian Mauler and the Pirate of Maghreb were gonna be found in the Windy City for a whole weekend, where they'd be displaying feats of amazing skill and power. They got some good seats near the ring and soon found themselves in the middle of the gathering of fans, mostly male but Sunrise could see some ladies here and there, though it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say it was somewhat of a sausage fest. He actually made a point of dressing himself in some recognizable enough clothes - a starter of the Phoenix in a wrestling show should make for some promotion, he assumed - only to find nobody really recognized him there. Well, except for one person. The first match scheduled was to be a bout of Mexican wrestlers - something Luz was very happy for - between the men that attended by the names of Hielado and Señor Flamenco. The two were apparently to be accompanied by a lady wrestler respectively. Flamenco had his own Flamencita, a little girl that clapped to his every move while Hielado was partnered by a lady merely called Duchesse Roja. And while the other three didn't seem to pay attention, the Duchesse Roja kept staring at the Dutchman every now and then. Once Sunrise made eye contact with her, she waved in a rather familiar way. Sunrise waved back, to which Luz seemed confused. When asked about it, Sunrise denied knowledge of who she was but once the two decided to figure it out, the realization hit them. The ginger hair, the pale face covered by a red mask, the gimmick of a rich duchess. Sunrise barely could say it as the match started, it was his sister Mooncalf that just seemed to have gotten sidetracked from her job as an actress to be another piece on the wide tapestry of international professional wrestling. Her wrestler won, which sure made the trip back home joyous but Sunrise failed to understand anything of it. He'd rather play hockey, thank you very much.
  17. As another Sunday blew past them under the now familiar cold weather, Dutch winger Sunrise van de Schubbekuteveen observe a card in silence, his eyes roaming through the myriads of words. Chicago's previous season had been rough but by now, he seemed to be entirely focused on a single thing. The goals column, now displaying a pleasant 31 but still, to himself, in dire need of work. He had already cleared the 100-goal mark when it came to professional hockey, including the juniors and a stint in Europe, yet there was more to his mind at the time that just kept him awake through the night - the same as the past couple of nights - whether he'd be able to properly score at least three digits in his major league career. It seemed like a curious goal, one suggested by the hockey insiders for a player that probably didn't seem like much to some people but a goal that the Dutchman was certain he could clear with a respectable performance. His eyes flashed through the entirety of the card regularly before being stuck at the number. Thirty-one. The closest 31 he could think of was the day of the month, when Schubbekuteveen's local soccer team VVS would have to gear up for a major game in the Tweede Divisie (Netherlands' third tier) against fellow mid-table side Midroad Apeldoorn VV. Sadly, he wouldn't have the chance to watch it but he was sure he'd get the news about it eventually. His father, ever the passionate man, had fallen into another new passion of his that Sunrise had never heard of before, motorsport. Having watched a season of one of the world's many noteworthy racing championships, Sunrise's father was struck by the passion of such a sport. He had since decided he'd find a way to build a track on one of his many farms and perhaps finance a team to represent the village and had even started to talk one of his sisters into the idea of driving for a career. Another mess he would have to fix whenever he was able to go back to Europe. Luz found herself bored, even more so than usual. The cold had made them hide inside for the past couple of weeks and besides a couple of trips to the local markets, that was about it for the two. She decided she'd try reaching up to her friends and family, given the down time and how vacation wasn't exactly blooming at the time being. That and she had already had enough of a fix of seeing Sunrise's relatives, the ever eventful group. Of note, she heard that a friend of hers, a security guard in training had gotten a job in Scotland, which... seemed to be peaceful enough but she wondered about the adventures Rosalinda might be enjoying with that basketball player she's acting as a bodyguard for. The time for another season was reaching closer and closer for Chicago. And for their privilege, Sunrise had already said yes for another pair of seasons.
  18. 1. What are you working on getting better at (irl, rp)? As is known by most folks, I've been having therapy sessions since last year to improve my lack of trust on others. I'm also working out four times a week at the local gym. 2. What do you think is the most important thing you need to do right now for your mental? Personally? Just focus on improving myself at every corner. 3. What do you think will come of this year for you, what do you want to do to make it better? I'd love to get a job, having a source of income. We're almost done with January. How was your month so far? Do you have plans for February? What's your favourite thing about your team?
  19. Do you know what the James Webb Space Telescope is? Are you excited that it has successfully deployed? No, but what Google shows reminds me of the DirecTV cable console we had back home... good times. Would you consider yourself an introvert or extrovert? Depends on the audience, to be honest. I'm an extrovert among introverts, an introvert among extroverts. Aren't these questions hard as hell to come up with? Nah, it's all about context. Have you ever contributed to a relief fund or aided in assisting victims of a natural disaster? What's your favourite Pokémon? What's the worst commentator you've ever seen in your life?
  20. 1. Will we ever find life in any form like on earth out in the rest of the universe? I suppose we'll find life like earth somewhere on space one day. Though that day is probably way too far for us, the currently living, to actually enjoy such an achievement. 2. Which will happen first - Davos wins a Cup or Australia makes a wine as good as the French? Davos. Making wine is difficult. 3. What is your player's favorite winter holiday tradition? Watching soccer on boxing day. 1. What's your favourite event in January? 2. So 2022 has arrived. What are your plans for this year in the league? 3. What's your favourite music to enjoy a new year's party?
  21. 1. clean slate you can build a sim engine however you want. How do you make it so Defense feels important. is it stats is it highlights, is it better text examples of defense play? Uh... I guess stats would be the easiest way to do it. 2. Scoring (the actual act of scoring not the attribute) is broken in STH. Too much is care about who put the puck in the net and who helped them. There is 60 mins in a game of hockey and an exciting game can literally be 0 - 0 in the third. What is missing from the simulation that makes hockey exciting. I was gonna say the visual side but that's literally something you only get in FHM. 3. What do you think of the cap? do you think the cap is making Meta teams more broken in that big name players really cannot have backup and teams with cheap meta players are punching well above their weight. Would you raise the cap if you could? I'd say every team that isn't Chicago should have to deal with their caps being halved. What's your favourite travelling destination? A traditional Brazilian HR question here: what animal would you be if you could pick one? Do you fancy the idea of playing hockey on the open or do you prefer to play only inside closed rinks?
  22. What is your favorite Christmas gift you have received? A Madureira jersey. What is your favorite Christmas gift you have given? A copy of Sonic Mania. Do you have a favorite Christmas carol? No... most of my Christmas were pretty bad. Any programs you have in mind for the remainder of the year? We're half a month away from 2022. Do you have any regrets? What are your expectations towards the league in 2022?
