  16. John Poremba @CrlineDijohn14 Philadelphia Reapers S72-S73 GP W L OTL SV% GAA SO Regular Season 137 75 56 6 0.914 2.80 15 Playoffs 16 7 7 2 0.893 3.14 0 John Poremba was undeniably one of the greatest goaltenders in Philadelphia. They posted a 50 Win season and won two Benoit Devereux awards, as well as a single Mitch Higgins for being the league MVP in season 73, a season where the Reapers really struggled. Dmaximus was more than willing to give another testimony for Poremba. Testimonial: There’s not a lot that needs to be said about John Poremba because his awards speak for themselves. Poremba won back-to back Benoit Devereux Awards (Best VHLM Goaltender) in Seasons 72 and 73. He also won the Mitch Higgins Award for being the league MVP in Season 73. Season 72 saw Poremba lead a strong Reaper squad for the entire season. A season that unfortunately ended in a Game 7 overtime loss in the semifinals to the eventual champions, Saskatoon. He notched 50 wins that season along with a .904 Save% and a 2.35 GAA. Because of the team’s all-in push during the previous season, there were only a few players on the roster for Season 73. Poremba stood on his head night after night to drag a skeleton crew of a team into the playoffs. His .921 Save% is one of the highest in the history of the league. His amazing efforts were recognized by the league, which deservedly named him MVP that season. Poremba is one of the all-time greatest goalies in the history of the VHLM. It is an honor to call him a Reaper and to have him enshrined in the Reaper Hall of Fame.
  17. Bob Helminen @Big Bob Philadelphia Reapers S71-S72 GP G A P +/- Hits SB Regular Season 144 102 133 235 118 173 42 Playoffs 19 10 7 17 4 37 5 Bob Helminen was an amazing player for the Reapers, they currently are in the top 4 for points for the franchise and managed to do so in under 150 games. There’s no doubt in my mind that Bob deserves a spot in this hall of fame. Their former General Manager DMaximus has prepared testimony for them. Testimonial: @DMaximus Reaper GM S68-S77 Bob Helminen showed off his flashy scoring talent right from the get-go. He surpassed the 100-point total in each of his 2 seasons with the Reapers. This includes a fantastic 60 goal, 133 total point Season 72. His career +/- rating with the Reapers is an amazing +118. His hockey sense let him see the whole ice when he was on it. He could predict the flow of the game and get himself into the right positions to make crucial plays happen. That hockey sense contributed to his greatness, evidenced by his 16 game-winning goals. Even with that gifted sense, Bob came to work every day, pushing himself to get better and better. Bob Helminen was a driven player who always surpassed expectations. His drive for greatness embodies what it means to be a Reaper.
  18. Hello Brock! You joined at a great time. The playoffs have just recently finished and we'll be going into the drafts soon. If you need any help getting started feel free to ask me anything. Also if you haven't joined the VHL discord I highly recommend as you'll be able to ask most people in the server for assistance.
  19. 1: It's been an all around team effort. No one on our team has a crazy amount of points but everyone is doing their part to get us a win. 2: Scoring in this tournament is very difficult so it's very impressive to get a point so early. I only had 3 points in my first tournament and I do believe you, Jack, still have a few more points to get in this tournament. 3: Our goalies have been amazing, we wouldn't have such a good record without them and our defense. The VHL will have some amazing goalies when they get called up. 4: Ashton Komaryk has been a key part of our special teams. Considering it's only Ashton's second WJC it's very impressive how much of an absolute force they have been. 5: See them? I made them. I really like the design personally, I could've gone with the Maple Leaf but I decided to try something a little more unique...Most people were expecting a Maple Leaf after all. 6: Maple Leafs getting the 1st overall pick, selecting Matthews. Matthews putting up 4 goals in his first game...Before that I wasn't too big on Hockey because every team I liked was bad. New Jersey, Vancouver and Toronto. But that is what actually made me excited and made me a mega fan.
  20. 1: I believe our GM has assembled a really good team. I believe this is my final year that I qualify for the World Junior Championship and I'm hoping to make an impact. 2: Yes and no. I love statistics and it's hard to think of that statement and not think of the movie moneyball. Sure anything can happen out there on the ice but if you assemble a team based on statistics you'll probably end up with a good hockey team. 3: It will mean a lot to win gold on my final chance in the WJC, especially representing my home of Canada. I never had a letter on my jersey in any of my WJC appearances but it won't stop me from leading this team. 4: Waking up early in the morning, my cousin picking me up to go to the small outdoor rink and getting some Tim Hortons to drink on the way there. 5: The best advice I can give for a new player to the tournament is to just have fun. This tournament doesn't last long but it's a great opportunity to make friends and play with new players you might never get the chance to play alongside again. 6: I'm pretty excited! It's going to be a bit strange and confusing at first but I think it gives me a better shot of getting Rookie of the Year in the VHL. I want to capture at least one championship and one award through my playing career and I think Riga is one of the best chances for me to do just that.
  21. Having the two organizations known previously as Minnesota Storm and Yukon Rush go to the VHLE and be rebranded, I do find it interesting to add a couple teams to replace them. It would make the league a little more competitive.
  22. Honestly it's not as bad as you say. The background is a little strange but the logo swap is really well done. Also nice to see statistics.
