  1. Review: I really like this graphic, this looks sick! This could be absolutely the best graphic I have seen. I love the creative theme for the image, I would never have thought to associate him with gambling like that, really like it. What is really interesting is how the colors actually conflict slightly yet it still flows really well, well done. Very nice that there isn't to many colors as that is a common problem with graphics. Overall this graphic is really nice and I could not appreciate any more than I already do. 9.2/10. All time high for me.
  2. 1. Honestly, offense and defense, is seems that it is not adequate on either side of the puck. 2. Maybe a playoff sneak in, assuming we can put something together soon. Other than that it will be pretty tough to make it into the playoffs. 3. Red Wings, I love there jerseys, they are sick. 4. I think he fits in really well, just we can't seem to get the job done. 5. I like shows but I can't say I have a favorite. 6. Coca Cola all the way. Pepsi sucks.
  3. Saskatoon is coming off of a poor season, finishing in nearly last place. What does that mean for Saskatoon now? Well, Saskatoon needs to prove that they did not just improve from last season, but that they are in playoff contention, even if it is a first round elimination. Now for a team coming from the bottom of the barrel, there is a lot of work to be done. GM Bulduray_1 took a defensive approach to the draft, so much so that he took both Connor Johnson and Cole Pearce, defensemen and goalie respectively. This has it's benefits but it naturally has it's drawbacks as well. Saskatoon doesn't have an offense. This can be seen with there lack of scoring and there best offensive player being Connor Johnson, the defensemen. Moves have to be made to improve on offense. Bulduray has done a good job, there is no denying that, Saskatoon does have a better win lose record than the last season, and there is still tons of room for improvement (only 10 games into the season). However, I feel like there can be a lot done with this team that could put them in a better position for the coming weeks. - Bulduray needs to be aggressive to sign rookies throughout the season, that is one of the few ways that this offense could produce to a level that can push Saskatoon into the playoffs. Additionally, that will massively help the defense and we could put something together. - Possibility for trades or other means of acquisition, be it tanking again for next season or going out and trading for someone, there just needs to be a clear path for the team. Right now we aren't in the playoffs, and I truly believe we could be with proper signings. Or we need to tank again and prepare for next season (less favorable). I truly think Saskatoon has potential to be a contender, but some very strong development on both sides of the puck would have to happen for this to be accomplished. A big move could take are team to the next level. In the end something needs to happen for this team to see success, but I believe in my GM to make the correct decision. I myself, Connor Johnson, don't intend to stay with Saskatoon past this first season. I know some of my teammates will, I also know my GM will stay. If Saskatoon is not competitive this season, they have to be a playoff team next season, I mean HAVE to be. They have been given the opportunities to do so and I am confident they will be competitive. If there is one thing I know, it's that a team can seem weak to start, but with a great GM who can sign players. That team can become very strong. I am referring to last season Halifax, they didn't start strong but by the end of the season there free agent signings and there lead scorer carried them to the playoffs and past Houston.
  4. 1. My player is preparing by consuming unhealthy amounts of chicken nuggets from McDonald's, and he is watching film. (He is already maxed for VHLM) 2. Best Two-Way Defensemen in the VHLM is my goal this season. 3. I think we have a really good defensive core, I think with the right signings and moves Saskatoon could be one of the best teams. 4. Halifax, simply because they were the first team I played for. Possibly Yukon as well. 5. I LOVE the NHL and the Red Wings. The Red Wings are off to a fantastic start, especially since the top two in the Calder race right now are both from the Red Wings. 6. I love apples and bananas, but mostly bananas.
  5. I actually used Microsoft Paint, I would use photoshop as I'm actually pretty good, however, I recently graduated high school and they were providing me with my photoshop license. The image is of Simon Edvinsson, Detroit Red Wings defensemen and prospect. I will use better softwares that I am more accustomed to in the future, or perhaps I will go back to making media spots, which I am much better at. Also Microsoft Paint sucks.
  6. After the quick development and notable playoff push that Halifax had late in their s80 season, many of there stars were set to be drafted. Among the draftees was Marshall Maxx, who is on the cusp of being a VHLE player. Marshall is a large man with a very aggressive and controlling playstyle, he doesn't tend to play the puck, rather he plays the puck handler. It's standard to see Marshall send a man into the boards many times a game, that is just how he plays. Although Marshall could absolutely play for the VHLE team that drafted him, he has made in blatantly clear that he intends to stay with Miami and help them make a playoff push. Marshall has made it very clear that he intends to stay with San Diego in hopes for a strong playoff push. Now this is entirely possible considering the strength of San Diego going into this coming season, additionally it makes sense for Marshall to stay in the VHLM because the VHLE team that drafted him is brand new. One thing is for certain, and that is that Marshall will not be returning to the VHLM for a third season, but if it's the VHL or VHLE is what is not quite so certain at the moment.
  7. Connor joined the league late in the s80 season, additionally he saw for himself first hand playoff experience. Quickly Connor became the top defensemen on the Halifax squad and was one of the key additions late in the season that propelled Halifax into a key spot in the playoffs. This key spot put Halifax in a position that put them up against a team that was only arguable better, whereas if they didn't get to this spot they would be facing teams like Yukon and Ottawa who are nearly unbeatable. Connor and Halifax stormed past there first playoff opponent. Sadly however, Halifax was promptly eliminated in the next round by Yukon. Connor took this playoff run and experience during his first season fantastically. Since the start of his career in the VHLM, Connor has been developing as fast as he knows how to, there isn't a task or workout routine he has knowingly missed. Connor went into the draft with high hopes and they were met perfectly. Getting drafted by Geneva in the VHLE was a dream and being drafted by Riga was even better. Connor was ecstatic when he learned he was drafted by Riga due to the fact that his Halifax teammate and late contributor to the playoff push, as well as best friend, Marshall Maxx was drafted by the same team. It is well known and even certain that Marshall and Connor will be a force for years on the Riga squad, teams better watch out as that Riga first line will be STACKED. Pros: Connor is a two-way defensemen, he focuses on stopping the opponent first but he prides himself in his ability to drive the net and his exceptional pass/shooting talent. Connor is also known for his well above average skating and puck handling considering how young he is. There isn't much stopping Connor from obtaining the VHLM defensemen of the year award, except maybe one man, Marshall Maxx. Cons: Connor is NOT known for his strength on defense, it is very possible that he will get tossed around on the ice, additionally he is known for excessive penalties. He has stated that those are some of his key attributes that he intends to work on next, considering how well rounded his raw talent is, a simple addition to his physical build could be all he needs to take the VHL by storm. Overall, Connor is one of the top defensemen prospects in the league and will see time in the VHL NEXT season, and if he decides too, he may skip right to the VHLE and not play in the VHLM ever again.
  8. Connor has just been drafted by Riga Reign, Saskatoon, and Geneva Rush, in that order. With much anticipation and excitement, he sees Saskatoon as a prime competitor in the VHLM and intends to carry them to the playoffs and maybe more. After his stint with Saskatoon, he will set his sights in Geneva. Switzerland is somewhere Connor has always wanted to live and was really never given the opportunity to do so, considering the rather limited experience with professional hockey that he has. If Connor does play for Geneva and never for Saskatoon his time to the VHl will be fast tracked and they could expect to see his name on the leaderboards sooner than later. Currently Connor has just over 200 pending, now does that mean he won't play for Saskatoon at all? Well he has no idea, he stated "I honestly don't have any idea how it works, I'm just going to keep developing and play wherever they put me" [they] is regarding to the teams that drafted him. Connor has seeked some advice as to whom he is playing for and has come to the conclusion that it may be possible he will skip Saskatoon entirely and move right to Switzerland.
  9. Review: I really love this graphic, it is really creative. I almost never see graphics like this and I love it. Colors work perfectly and I love the font choice. There is a clear color scheme which works perfectly with the logo and I don't think could be any better. I love how you have a list of stats regarding your player on the left. Overall this graphic is fantastic and I don't think it could be much better. 8.8/10
  10. Review: This graphic just speaks to me! The colors go together in such a meaningful way, I also love how the player looks so gritty. The color combination compliment each other very well, works perfectly with the jersey and background (except the pink). One point of improvement might be the font of the name, I love the border around it but I don't know if that specific font is the best choice. Overall this graphic is pretty good and one of the best I have seen recently, great job! 8/10
  11. 1. No, I don't believe I am. 2. Well I always do a media spot and I have some career tasks to take care of now. 3. Depending on who goes to the VHLM we could be very good. If my understanding of how that works is correct. 4. I have no idea, This is my second season in the league, and I joined at the end of the last season. 5. I have had surprisingly goof weather where I am from. Should be constantly snowing though. 6. I would play baseball because I absolutely love the sport.
  12. Review: Really basic graphic but sometimes thats a good thing! I really like the colors and how they mesh together. If I am completely honest, I am actually wondering what you did to this image other than put your name on there. Anyways the image is really good. Interesting font choice for your name but it doesn't hurt the image in anyway. Overall I think this is a solid graphic but that seems to be about it, I do like it. 6.5/10
  13. Review: I love the attempt at making a graphic, this might even be something I pick up soon! Some things to note regarding the image, I think the colors work very well with the overall feel of the image. There isn't any sort of dominant or eye popping aspect however, could definitely benefit from something like that. Additionally I think the font used for your name oculd definielty be better, but it does go well with the picture and I love that it's color flows well with the image. Not a huge fan of the logo in the background but it doesn't hurt the image at all. Overall I really like the your first grahpic and hope you keep making more. 6/10
  14. I am DEFINITELY still monkeying around.

  15. Connor sees himself as a very well defined and intelligent hockey player, doesn't fight much, doesn't take many penalties either. However, Connor has a dark side, and off the ice Connor's intentions are a bit, unknown? Connor is one of the clear beneficiaries of an illegal gambling ring, in this ring people bet on who will win the shootout in the game mode from NHL 22 (EA, NHL 22 game mode). This has become so popular in Halifax that Connor is starting to make more than his actual contract value from VHLM. Now this comes with obvious concerns, not just for Connor but for Halifax themselves, due to the fact that Connor works closely with many of the players and staff associated with the organization and it wouldn't be a stretch to see them involved in this gambling ring as well. Hopefully this all blows over and is disproven, as unlikely as it may be. If this sort of conduct is deemed factual, then it is entirely possible that Connor could see himself out of the league entirely, especially considering he could be facing serious jail time. Some facts that show Connor as a prime suspect are listed: 1. Connor can be seen frequenting a remote location 30 minutes outside Halifax nearly every single Friday night, additionally 20+ other people can be seen entering the establishment shortly after. 2. With thorough investigation, and a spy, is was in fact determined that the establishment hosts gambling rings in which people bet on NHL 22 shootouts (a mode in the game) video evidence is obtained. 3. Connor's income statistics showed on his tax returns do not reflect accuracy regarding his known income sources, (baking, hockey, hockey merchandise). Another prime suspect is Marshall Maxx, star defensemen for Halifax and buddy of Connor's. What isn't so clear is his involvement in the ring, he has only been seen entering the facility 4 times, however we were not necessarily looking for him and he may have contributed significantly more than expected. If Marshall is deemed a prime suspect this could hurt Halifax's legacy, indefinitely. If these allegations are proven true, for both Maxx and Johnson, there could be an investigation launched into the entire Halifax roster and there staff. Considering two of the players were involved, there must be others on the team who know about it, including staff. Connor has refused any attempts at an interview, and we can't force him to say anything. For Connor's friend however, Marshall, we have had more lucrative talks with, when he doesn't check our camera crew. Those talks have led to us recording him saying a few sentences in his native tung, any attempts to translate have proven useless, however. With Marshall's notable criminal record (all of which being several counts of battery) it wouldn't be much of a stretch to make him out as next level organized crime lord. In the end, there isn't enough evidence to put either of them away yet, the only hard evidence we have is that they both have attended an illegal gambling ring, and Marshall checking our camera crew. So at most they would be suspended and fined, but we will have to keep a watchful eye as these next couple of weeks could prove if they are innocent or guilty of running an illegal gambling ring.
  16. I have been in the VHLM for a couple months now (since just before the deadline) and I have thoroughly enjoyed myself. There are some drawbacks, some including the fact that locker rooms can be stagnate and teams can become empty do to purposeful tanking. This can cause players to lose any motivation to keep developing and improving there reputation in the league. However there are some great things about the league I have to consider, just as the locker room can become stagnant when teams are down, they can become equally hype and an absolute blast when rounding the season and going into the payoffs. For players who have just started, getting motivated to actually develop can be really tough, there is a lot that just seems overwhelming and hard to understand. Additionally many players don't even know how to develop, they may know how to practice and claim welfare but many don't do any of the other tasks and might not even know about it. This can problem can be easily hurdled as there just needs to be more interaction from every GM and they need to provide players with a clear path to progress, however that player sees fit. If this is done correctly I think that VHL retention rates could skyrocket. Now this isn't a must, as many people join everyday and I'm sure many of those people play several seasons and leave for other, almost irrelevant to the argument sort of reasons.
  17. Review: This is graphic has some fantastic contrast and saturation, I really like how the player stands out in the black environment. I really like the grainy sort of look to the jersey/player, additionally the colors work wonders! I love the black, blue, red, and white mix, makes the image pop. Somethings can be improved on however, the ice for example, I think could be more pronounced, it is more of just a skew towards the bottom of the screen, it is nice but I think fixing that would make this image significantly better. Overall this graphic is very good and I give it a 7.6/10.
  18. Review: I really like the filters and distortion present on the player himself, additionally I really like how the "gaps" in the picture, I feel like they added a needed level of distortion. I color selection is good, however, I would absolutely prefer a slightly different color skew, something like black and yellow. I just don't like the black with the line green, I honestly think a slightly darker green would do wonders to the picture. Overall this image is great, the player stands out fantastically in the frame, overall I give this a 7.3/10.
  19. 1. How well Halifax progressed towards the end of the season. 2. Any VHL team, any VHLE, and only good VHLM teams. 3. I am not retiring, and I will play for whatever league wants me. 4. I was! I was chosen for the United States roster and I am really excited for it. 5. My player's biggest weakness is his on ice discipline and strengths, he can get hit around a lot. His biggest strength is his offensive ability and his great defense. 6. 27, I have always liked the number, not sure why though. 7. No, No, and No, I also don't really plan on it, maybe though. 8. Puma, because I bet if they made skates they would be fast.
  20. We will be discussing and briefly going over the top 10 prospects eligible for the VHLM draft. This list is entirely my opinion, it is very possible that you may or may not agree with this list. 1. Yun Chiang - Yun has been reliable and consistent in his progression, he is a solid choice whoever ends up drafting him. Only concerns with Yun is that he isn't employed outside his player, if he does manage to find a job his weekly TPE could increase significantly. 2. Sergey Preobrazhensky - Like Yun, he has showed incredible consistency, he is ought to be one of the best future prospects in the VHL, especially if he can get employed outside of his character. 3. George Sanderson - George is also consistent, however, he is not quite as consistent as Sergey or Yun. He is a fantastic player and is a sure lock for the future but he has not progressed as quickly as some of his peers previously listed. 4. Tadhg Byrne - Byrne has developed impressively compared to his peers, it is entirely possible he is picked higher than George. Bryne's development has been strong consistent and hard to beat. 5. Juha Jarvinen - Juha is a all-round great pick, he is sure to be in the league for years to come and shows no sign of stopping. He is being out developed by Tadhg, he just hasn't been passed by him yet. 6. Connor Johnson - Connor maybe 14 points below Ragnar, however, Connor has played a third of the games. Due to this it's clear to see that his development is beginning to outpace some of the best in the league, and likely the next on the list. 7. Nagy AL - Nagy has an incredible job that provides him an incredible source of TPE, additionally this shows GM's that he is essentially a guarantee to stay in the league, something GM's all ask when they are drafting. Another huge thing about Nagy is that he could be making so much more per week, he isn't even maximizing his weekly gain and even then he outpaces most people on this list, incredible. It is entirely possible that he is drafted in the top 3. 8. Tavish DeGroot - Similarly to Nagy, Tavish has secondary TPE income that greatly assists his development, unlike Nagy however, Tavish is closer to maximizing his weekly TPE gain. Nonetheless Tavish could be a top 3 pick like Nagy due to the guarantee of development by being employed in the league. 9. Vasile Lamb - Just like Tavish and Nagy, Vasile is employed in the league which massively increases his value as a prospect, guaranteeing his progression as a player. Vasile, similarly to Tavish, is much closer to maximizing his development. Nagy, Tavish, and Vasile, should and will be picked higher than there respective positions in the draft, all of which have the potential to be top 3 picks. 10. Ragnar Hagstrom - Ragnar is a consistent player, especially with his development, however, given how many games he has played, he should have be higher on this list if he maximized his development. Additionally he doesn't have the TPE potential that the previous 3 have, therefor I can't put him higher.
