  1. @PadStackPapa goated username, please do not retire my friend.
  2. Bro, players with really good 600 TPE builds are a hot commodity. Center is a tough spot to do it but trust you are important to your team.

  4. Tried reading it, got to a word over 5 letters. Need to sleep now. Great work @sadie

  6. That concludes things, thank you all so much for reading these and bearing with me. I know it was a little slow, and I apologize. I spent the whole weekend typing all of these only to have the file get lost (family computer low on space, probably a sibling trying to make space or something idk). Either way I had to retype every entry and result manually so thank for the patience. Particular shoutout to @Spartan who I know has been here the entire time waiting for the next award to pop up. Love ya dawg.

  8. Brett Slobodzian Trophy VHL Most Outstanding Player David Rashford @Knight You all had the opportunity to vote on the outcome of this award but your votes decided the league most outstanding performance belonged to Rashford. He led the league in points and goals on the best team in the regular season. Maybe wasn’t the most impactful defensively but I personally think David just believes in the best defense being a strong offense. A career year and 4 individual awards under the belt for this great user and player.
  9. Scotty Campbell Trophy VHL Most Valuable Player Nominees: W Shubham Anand @Will3 - 54 G | 53 A | 107 P | +31 | 14 GWG W David Rashford @Knight - 56 G | 71 A | 127 P | +67 W Harry Callahan @dstevensonjr - 50 G | 55 A | 105 P | +26 | 171 HITS C Jarmo Ruutu @jRuutu - 42 G | 83 A | 125 P | +69 | 133 HITS G Dalkr Vidarsson @KaleebtheMighty - 65 GP | 42-18-4 | .928 SV% | 2.46 GAA | 5 SO Now for the creme de la creme. The Scotty Campbell Trophy is the most sought award for any player at any position in the VHL. Rashford and Anand both had incredibly strong offensive campaigns. Callahan and Ruutu both also kept the scoring going but also threw the body around in the defensive end on the back check. Vidarsson played an amazing second half of the season as the Wolves started slow but slowly clawed back into the playoff hunt with this man at the center of that push. Your winner…
  10. Daisuke Kanou Trophy VHL Playoff MVP Nominees: W Shubham Anand @Will3 - 17 GP | 11 G | 16 A | 27 P | +8 | 3 GWG C Axle Gunner @Steve - 17 GP | 12 G | 17 A | 29 P | +12 | 85 HITS | 2 GWG D Skor McFleury @Alex - 17 GP | 7 G | 17 A | 24 P | +6 | 49 HITS | 38 SB Riga reigned supreme this postseason but who will rightfully wear the playoff MVP’s crown? McFleury had quite the retirement tour, finishing a strong career with a cup win. But more importantly, he was a key contributor to that victory with over a point per game production on the blue line and solid defensive contributions. Gunner was not only a monster in the offensive end but also absolutely wreaked havoc on the opposition with his body being his weapon of choice. 85 hits in 17 games is lethal! Anand was the other offensive contributor for Riga but he also potted three game winners enroute to ultimate victory. Your winner…
  11. Frederick Elmebeck Trophy Best Community Contribution Nominees: @Banackock - Seattle Bears GM and Recruitment Team @AJW - Former Fantasy Zone Manager and VHLM GM | Current VHLM AGM @ace_five_ - VSN Graphics Contributor and VHLM GM This is in my opinion one of the most important awards in the league and probably the toughest to nominate and vote for. Many members contribute so much to this league and experience that I wish we could have five co-winners for this one. Bana has done a great job as a General Manager but more importantly he has been hard at work on the VHL TikTok and with recruitment in general. This offseason we just saw a solid wave of first gens join up and old faces return thanks to their efforts. AJW is just a solid guy, who’s past work in the fantasy zone set us all up for a massive playoff bracket TPE drop (thank you for the 13 TPE buddy). While he does not hold the role of FZ Manager or VHLM GM anymore, I know he is always active and willing to help out new members and is just present. Ace as you saw in the opening post of this thread is the man. Great GM down in the M molding the experience and growth of our newest members while also being the top contributor of beautiful graphics for VSN (which I personally appreciate so damn much) Your winner…
  12. David Knight Trophy VHL Best General Manager Nominees: Euron Leonidas @Spartan - 53-17-2 | 108 points | 275 GF | 175 GA | +100 Diff Leandro Goncalves @leandrofg - 36-27-9 | 81 points | 245 GF | 224 GA | +21 Diff Alexandre Leduc @Lemorse7 - 50-18-4 | 104 points | 254 GF | 187 GA | +67 Diff It's easy to look at the records and decide which nominee deserves the award but let's also look at some moves made to set up these teams for success. The Menace started off the season by trading away players like Axle Gunner and Leif Reingaard. Then quickly Moscow began to add with the acquisitions of Oreo McFleury and Nils Andersson. At the deadline FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY Analfist was added by trading picks and Steve Lattimer. Riga started their year by moving Elf shoes for Carson Walker Jr. and (most importantly) by acquiring Axle Gunner from the Menace. They also dealt Oreo McFleury to Moscow a day later. Most of Calgary’s moves early on were acquiring players for picks like Keita Kourou, Adi Dassler, and Leif Reingaard. They also swapped Moritz Stauffer for Jack Jeckler and sent Kyle Toms packing for Toronto. These moves in their totality lead to a great regular season for Moscow and Riga but ultimately Riga hoisted the cup. Your winner…
  13. Aidan Shaw Trophy VHL Best Goaltender Nominees: G Merome Dilson @MexicanCow123 - 62 GP | 33-25-4 | .926 SV% | 2.53 GAA | 5 SO G Herald Benson @Benson - 64 GP | 16-41-6 | .927 SV% | 3.65 GAA | 5 SO G Dalkr Vidarsson @KaleebtheMighty - 65 GP | 42-18-4 | .928 SV% | 2.46 GAA | 5 SO G Jorgen Lovstrom @Pifferfish - 43 GP | 32-9-2 | .930 SV% | 2.24 GAA | 3 SO Ahhh the goalies. The anchors of any strong defensive team in the VHL. Each of these guys have strengths and weaknesses for their case this season. The biggest red flag here is Jorgen Lovstrom. He boasts the best point percentage as a starter, the best save percentage, and the best goals against average. However, he didn’t start the normal 60+ contests of the other nominees. Benson did play really well but a weak team hurt the record and GAA. Either way, all of these players have their case and we send it to the voters! Your winner…
  14. Sterling Labatte Trophy VHL Best Defenseman Nominees: D Jacob Stone @scoop - 35 G | 60 A | 95 P | +44 | 194 HITS | 179 SB D Obuz Schneider Canet du Bocage @Grape - 30 G | 74 A | 104 P | +68 | 218 HITS | 150 SB D YaBoi Oven @Doomsday - 23 G | 69 A | 92 P | +45 | 214 HITS | 137 SB Now we will smash both of the previous awards together and find the overall best defenseman in the VHL. This award is arguably the most coveted for defensemen as it requires a duality of focus on the ice. You cannot let one part of your game create sacrifices in the other. These three candidates played a strong two way game better than the rest of the field this season and the stats show what appears to be a tight race. Bocage with triple digits in points, Stone leading in shot blocking and goals, and Oven with just good consistency across the board with a weaker supporting cast in Chicago. Your winner…
  15. for real... might need to make conference specific awards next season
  16. Jake Wylde Trophy VHL Best Defensive Defenseman Nominees: D Kronchy Kardashian @Garsh - 74 P | +19 | 226 HITS | 161 SB D Jacob Stone @scoop - 95 P | +44 | 194 HITS | 179 SB D Callum Gary Yannick Janser @Daniel Janser - 68 P | +7 | 274 HITS | 132 SB D Tommy Sleeves @dasboot - 33 P | -38 | 328 HITS | 230 SB D Guntis Gavilrovs @Girts - 70 P | +28 | 239 HITS | 171 SB Let’s not abandon that old school hockey where our defenders hit hard and put their bodies on the line to keep puck from even threatening their goaltenders. Lots of strong cases this season as some of the hardest hitting players in the league are lined up for the voters. Your winner…
  17. Alexander Valiq Trophy VHL Best Offensive Defenseman Nominees: D YaBoi Oven @Doomsday - 23 G | 69 A | 92 P | +45 | 295 S | 3 GWG D Jacob Stone @scoop - 35 G | 60 A | 95 P | +44 | 313 S | 9 GWG D Obuz Schneider Canet du Bocage @Grape - 30 G | 74 A | 104 P | +68 | 347 S | 8 GWG A modern hockey league has to feature a few fast skating puck movers on the blue line to keep the games super exciting. Now these players are some of the most exciting offensive forces in the VHL. While Oven was great, this award really comes down to the playmaking of Bocage versus the thundering shot of Stone. Your winner…
  18. Scott Boulet Trophy VHL Best Two-Way Forward Nominees: C Severus Targaryen @Banackock - 46 G | 49 A | 95 P | +6 | 299 HITS | 40 SB C Axle Gunner @Steve - 44 G | 58 A | 102 P | +21 | 298 HITS | 40 SB W Catia Goncalves @cLoWn - 51 G | 53 A | 104 P | +16 | 233 HITS | 34 SB Forward often get credited for their offensive abilities but defense is important too (coming from a guy with a goalie player). I think comparing the stats of these players can give you a good idea of what went down, so I won't bore with my analysis. Lets see who the best two-way forward in the VHL was in S95. Your winner…
  19. Dustin Funk Trophy VHL Most Improved Player Nominees: G Herald Benson @Benson - 64 GP | 16-41-6 | .927 SV% | 3.65 GAA | 5 SO W David Rashford @Knight - 56 G | 71 A | 127 P | +67 C Ronald Johnson MacWallace III @RJMW - 35 G | 59 A | 94 P | +51 | 151 HITS W Isaac mclflopper @sportexperts show - 43 G | 39 A | 82 P | +8 | 191 HITS D Obuz Schneider Canet du Bocage @Grape - 30 G | 74 A | 104 P | +68 | 218 HITS | 150 SB Wow, this time last season who would have expected all these guys to breakout? Quite the deserving candidates here and lets hope it continues instead of being the Jonathan Cheechoo story! For some individual looks at the nominees, Benson improved not in record but majorly in SV% with a .014 increase from S94. Rashford as we discussed earlier, nearly doubled his previous season high goal total. Isaac bounced back after a -42 season with a great defensive effort and his first point per game season of a young career. RJMW3 has been offensively solid for many seasons, but maybe just had his best defensive effort with a new career high in plus/minus. Lastly, Bocage not only got to the point per game mark for the first time but smashed that ceiling into the stratosphere. Your winner…
  20. i did that for you big dawg
  21. Christian Stolzchweiger Trophy VHL Top Rookie Nominees: G Jorgen Lovstrom @Pifferfish - 43 GP | 32-9-2 | .930 SV% | 2.24 GAA | 3 SO W Maverick Goncalves @leandrofg - 38 G | 42 A | 80 P | +69 | 263 HITS G Aleksanteri Kaskiniemi-Kekkonen @Snussu - 64 GP | 37-20-7 | .916 SV% | 2.49 GAA | 3 SO D Felicia Hardy @JCarson - 11 G | 54 A | 65 P | -15 | 138 HITS | 139 SB Lots of great nominees here but inevitably 3 kind of had a “flaw” despite the great seasons they played. AKK got kind of outclassed by JOrgen down the stretch but Jorgen only played 43 games versus AKK’s 64. Hardy did have one of the best rookie seasons by a defenseman in recent history in terms of point production, but posting a team low plus/minus as a defender is a big time red flag. That leaves Maverick. Led rookies in points, tied for the league lead in plus/minus, and a defensive contributor with hitting ability. Your winner…
  22. Greg Clegane Trophy VHL GAA Leader Jorgen Lovstrom @Pifferfish 2.24 GAA Maybe a controversial award win here, as Jorgen played only 3 more games than the awards minimum, but nonetheless he is your Clegane winner. As a rookie he managed to lead the league in save percentage and goals against average. That said, a ton of the credit for GAA goes toward the skater in front of the netminder. Some have even argued GAA is a team stat more than a goalie one. A ton of the credit for this win has to go to the defensemen in Malmo. Jorgen also wanted me to give the league a message in response to this win: “Get JORGED on!” I have no idea what getting Jorged on is but I don't think I really want to know. The next closest player for consideration was Olober Skyo @Spartan in Moscow (what didn’t their team do?) with a 2.39 GAA.
  23. Mike Szatkowski Trophy VHL Points Leader David Rashford @Knight 127 points This came down to a two horse race between both the players we just mentioned. As I said, they both were mutually beneficial to each other's dominance. In the end, Rashford edged out Ruutu @jRuutu for this coveted honor. Since I’ve already talked about both of them a bit, I’ll forgo some hubbub and keep things moving.
  24. Kevin Brooks Trophy VHL Goals Leader David Rashford @Knight 56 goals Now we look at probably one of the primary beneficiaries of that playmaking from Ruutu in David Rashford. This is what biologists call a symbiotic relationship as both these guys were lighting the lamp together all season long. Rashford saw a major breakout this year after only posting a season high of 30 goals up until this point to now being a Brooks Trophy winner. Other players that got close to this award include Catia Goncalves @cLoWn and Shubham Anand @Will3 with 51 and 54 Ginos respectively. Great seasons all around, but again, congrats to Rashford on this honor.
  25. Forgot to mention the close case of @AJWRandy Bobandy, only 3 assists from tying in his retirement campaign. Good work by him as well.
