  1. Takashi is here and locked in
  2. 1. We are definitely evolved and ready to make a big push, with a lot of younger players we have a great chance to tear up the league for the next few seasons 2. Some great picks, took some help on the back end on the first round and made sure to keep it young so players can stay and help in the following season 3. I think they were really solid, adding such a big offensive piece is a great move and should help us advance from bottom of the league 4. Either the Radio or Trivia, both are some nice fun if I had to give an edge it would be to trivia, although I wish I could do more than 2 a week 5. Gutted the team, lost 2 middle 6 scorers, a depth guy with a good heart, and a depth scorer that we got back at the start of the season, it sucks but at least I have my hometown team to fall back on, hopefully 6. Depends, did the goalie make a bunch of saves that kept us in the game or did the goal scorer make a great move to beat the other goalie, to me it is a case by case basis
  3. Takashi and Mikko sit on their couch. Takashi is looking down at his hands and twiddling his thumbs. Mikko takes notice and places his hand on his brother’s shoulder “Hey bro, come on, you’ll get picked for sure.” Takashi looked up and stared at his brother. “You sure?” “Yeah, I mean, I think all those interviews you did proves it, you’re strong, you got a good game, you’ll be on a team for sure.” Takashi sits back and stares at the TV as the picks count down, watching as the first 8 picks are taken. “Hey bro, I’m gonna use the restroom quickly.”, the younger brother told his older brother before getting up and making his way down his hallway. As he finished up, he went to go wash his hands when he heard his brother screaming from the living room. Takashi swung open the door and booked it into the living room and saw his brother holding his head and pointing at the TV. Takashi looked towards the TV to see his name on the board, taken at 9th overall. “Oh my.” Takashi took a hard seat on the couch and kept watching the TV as his name sat there, 15 places higher than his brother, 10 seasons ago. Mikko finally took his hands off his head and pulled up the camera he had on his side and turned it on, facing it towards his stunned brother. “So we have our first post-draft interview with the 9th overall pick, Takashi Borisyuk. How are you feeling with your position?” Mikko said, a bit of a shake still in his own voice. Takashi peered up at the lens and let out a sigh before adjusting himself, “You know it is quite a shock, a nice shock but a shock. I want to thank the Missasuga staff for giving me the chance and I hope I excite.” “Do you want to give a little note to anyone else?” “Yeah, I would like to give thanks to my agent for letting me get some hype up before the draft, thanks to the other GM’s for the interviews, although I wasn’t picked you, you guys made my intro in the VHLM fun and I want to give a thanks to my brother, for being here to support me, I’m glad I was picked higher than him, I hope to have a better career than him as well.” He let out a chuckle as he said those last words. “Alright, that’s enough,” Mikko said, turning off the camera and putting it under his arm. “Hey, I guess I have one question coming out of this.” Takashi said to his brother as he looked towards the TV again, “I never talked to Ace, why did he take me so high?” Mikko looked at his brother and shrugged. “I guess your name got around.” He turned away from his brother and began to walk towards him room, leaving him alone in the living room with the draft still on. 4. Run it back? I apply
  5. Congrats @v.2
  6. Also, Bills?
  7. I would like to apply
  8. 1. Calgary adding to an already good core has been pretty under the radar, I think they got an amazing shot for the start of next season 2. Oh boy, if we are talking pure singing power, Lady Gaga and Burno Mars really pulled me with Die With a Smile, both have been so good throughout their careers 3. Purple, or Red, I have purple bias but red mixed with white could really give off that Canadien pride 4. Any discrimination law, like all of those are within the first five things passed, it needs to be done, health care and taxes for the rich are also up there but yeah, no hate should be allowed 5. So Mikko just retired so I really only have one, as for my best season with him, no doubt S92, last one in the E (rip), only hardware he took home but god was it fun to make a run like that 6. Regular Show, or any of the old Cartoon Network shows from the early 2000's, what I watched growing up
  9. I'll apply
  10. I'll apply, need something to do in my down season
  11. 1. No, coming from a place where snow is a once-in-a-blue-moon, I pray for days where we get some, it is amazing in my opinion 2. I love it, it is such a better format and gives these players a real chance to show their skills, don't get me wrong I like the all-star stuff but this is better for hockey 3. Maybe do something with NHL trivia along with the VHL trivia we have, would give a chance for more TPE, I don't know, seems neat to me 4. Like a mix, not the type to be loyal to one for now 5. As much as a WBF one would be nice, I would say maybe an agility for skaters, it feels wrong for speed to count for everything 6. PB or the mini ones in a tube, just some nostalgia from going the theatre
  12. Just a simple graphic, don't plan on using it for TPE just made it to go along with this VHL article: https://vhlforum.com/topic/154743-one-falls-another-rises/#comment-1052403
  13. First time writing in almost 2 months, hope yall like it here
  14. A chair sits alone in a room; a door is heard opening and closing, a few footsteps are heard before Mikko Borisyuk comes into the frame and sits down. He lets out a light sigh before making eye contact with the camera. "It comes with my heaviest heart that I must announce my retirement from the VHL, it was a great 10-season run, from Mexico City to Halifax to Bratislava, Vancouver, Helsinki, and ending in Toronto, thanks to everyone who took a chance on me. Although I didn't win in the current leagues, I'm still proud to be a Renaissance Cup winner in Season 92. Thank you to all my teammates through the years, you guys and gals and pals will always be more than players to me, you guys will be my friends. I wish I could keep going, but I know my play will get worse, and I will be deadweight on contenders, so I must give my final goodbyes. I hope to see you all around, as a friend, as a coach, as a player even, but who knows, with that being said, I have one last thing to give to the league." He gets up and walks out of the camera's sight, another door is opened and closed before a second pair of footsteps is heard approaching, after a second, a tall, skinny, tattered-up man in a suit takes a seat on the chair. Mikko leans on his shoulder and peers down at the camera. "This is my brother, quite different in everything, but he is my blood, to all the VHLM and VHL gms, he will be joining the VHL for Season 99, please take care of him, and he will take care of your blue line, with that said, I will leave you alone with him and let him tell you about himself, one last time, thank you VHL, it was a blast." Mikko gets off of his brother's shoulder and pats it before walking out of frame and out of the door, his brother watches as the door shuts before turning his eyes in front of him. "Hello there, my name is Takashi Borisyuk, I come from rural Maine, USA, and am happy to be joining you for the 99th season of the VHL, my goal is to be a tough checking D-man who also likes to put up some points, I am never afraid to step up for my teammates so expect a few missing teeth for any sucker who plays dirty. I hope you guys will enjoy my play, and I can't wait to get on the ice with one of the teams. If it is everything my brother has told me, I know I will love it; I guess I'll see you guys then, bye-bye." Takashi sits awkwardly for a moment before getting up and reaching for the camera, the screen cuts to black and displays one last message for a few seconds: Goodbye VHL MB 17/34 and his signature. Afterward, it disappeared, and a new message faded in under it: Hello VHL TB 42 and his signature.
  15. The younger brother is here
