  1. 1. We just need to keep up the pressure! If we can continue to out play them every step of the way then I think we've got this. 2. I dunno where the Caps went wrong, I didn't watch all of their games but seeing a team get sweeped like that in the playoffs was a little disappointing. 3. Just keep shooting the puck at the net, look for openings, you gotta be quick with it cuz those goalies are fast but if a goalie can predict a player then the player can learn to predict what a goalies gonna do. 4. The mario movie, I'm learning peaches word for word. 5. I don't really have a preference, I don't think there ever was one that I've disliked. 6. I loved how well we did, seeing all of us do well and get points here and there was fun to see.
  2. 1. I'm very impressed with it, I didn't think my player would do as well as he did this season for some reason. 2. Mainly the Lynx, at least they seem to be a very strong team this season. 3. I personally really liked watching the Bruins and Leafs go at it, high intensity and such. & it's not a complete sweep so far. 4. Hockey & chill. or just something chill, I wouldn't want it to be fancy. 5. Consistency and resilience, if a team burns out or runs out of gas at any point I feel like it might cost them. 6. First movies are usually good testing grounds, they aren't sure what the fans are going to like and what they won't so when it comes to the second movie they know what to focus on.
  3. 1. It was an awesome trade! We added the depth that I think will help us in the playoffs. 2. Lynx, they have a pretty strong team from the looks of it. 3. A little late to this one, caps did well in securing that last playoff spot tho. 4. I'm not too sure, maybe butter & sugar on toast 5. Probs the Rangers, they popped off point wise this season 6. Whopper whopper whopper

    Slump

Starting off a season with a point per game, heck even in some cases more is an experience that leaves you feeling confident in yours and your team’s potential to win when is comes down to the playoffs. Most often lose sight of the obstacles in their way, causing them to stumble and in some cases not get back up for awhile. In my players case, Oliver Loo is currently on a five game slump. No goals, no assists, no nothing. Looking back at game 212, I can’t help but wonder if the fight he had with one of the opposing players knocked him off his game or maybe he’s simply just out of gas, pushing himself too hard and such. Whatever the case is, with S93 getting closer to its end I can only hope that my player gets out of this slump soon, it’d be nice if he could continue to help his team out. 157 words
  5. 1. Our current group is amazing, though if there's a trade offer that would make the team better I'd say go for it. 2. Our goalies have been carrying, I'd say it has to be either one of them. 3. No, sometimes all it takes is for a team to be threatened with elimination for them to play their hardest. 4. If you can dominate in both fields its an easy win, but if a team could only choose one strength I'd have to put my money on a strong defensive team. 5. Nah, unfortunately I couldn't. 6. A total eclipse of the heart.
  6. A team like the Los Angeles Stars sounds like a team that would do well, but with a 35 game losing streak and only 2 points in the standings it’s easy to say that this team is struggling. However, that’s to be expected with a team that’s rebuilding. I mean maybe not to lose this much but a bad season is usually the consequence of a remake like this. Though I’m not here to talk about their bad plays or what they could do that might give them a shot at making the playoffs, I’m not here to further demoralise a team that likely lacks it already. I’m going to yap on and on about their team branding. Firstly, would it kill ya to have more color? I swear if I were to look into the stands at a Los Angeles Stars game it would look empty, with those black seats too? I’d think the team is close to folding ad that you guys desperately need butts in seats. But alas, that’s not the case. Your seats are black, your jerseys are black, your crest is black. With little bits of grey, I’m sure there’s a line of white somewhere in there too. Just imagine if the team were to have a tiny sprinkle of color, something to make them pop out amongst the others. Though maybe them being the only team to have blacks, greys, and whites is what makes them unique. Anyways, if you were to keep the logo how it is, I would change the stars color to yellow. Heck changing the whole look of the logo doesn’t seem like too bad of an idea, I like the simplicity of it but something about it is just bland in a sense. Not that that’s bad of course, It just needs a little something. I would also spread some yellow onto their jerseys, yellow is one of those colors that would make them stand out against their opposition. Though there is another option, they could sell the team. Maybe a place in texas would buy them, change them how they saw fit. Change the colors, add a splash of green, something that would make them stand out against the constant uses of blues and reds. The Stars, no longer based in Los Angeles would need to change their logo. Of course they would keep the star, but they would need to change the letters. I would assume they would change it to a letter corresponding to the city that they move to, just to keep that familiarity of their old branding. Yeah, maybe the city that the Stars move to won’t change the stars color to yellow. Though maybe they will, I imagine they would keep the name intact, they would probably just slap their city name in front of it and call it a day. The team name Stars is pretty neat in itself, it’s like all their players are little shining stars. Kinda makes me want to put a bunch of star stickers on their helmets. Like you're a star and you're a star and you're a star and so on. 525 words o gibberish
  7. Congrats! Well deserved & I'm sure you'll do great
  8. There are a handful of tasks that one could do to earn TPE, some doing as many of them as possible to upgrade their players attributes as much as they can in hopes of making a potential hall of famer or maybe just so that they can make a difference on their respective team. There’s probably a few ways that someone could earn 12 TPE, I’ve only found two ways myself, one with welfare and one without. With welfare, which is 4 TPE on it’s own but it limits your capped TPE to 10. Of course if you do an article, a press conference, and tap that little practice facility button you cap out relatively quickly. Getting the full 12 TPE can be a little tricky, I normally opt to do trivia for the 2 TPE, which can cuck you if you get it wrong but it’s worth trying for that little bonus. Without welfare it’s basically the same thing, though instead of hitting that welfare button, you can make a graphic or write 500 words for a media spot, 2000 words for a good 4 weeks, either one of these getting you 6 TPE. You can still do the trivia too, which bumps your weekly TPE earnings up to 14. 211 words
  9. 1. More goals, less penalties. It seems that whichever games we have a lot of penalties in are the ones we struggle in. 2. Yes! There's always good fun with April Fool's pranks. 3. We have two amazing Goalies, I think what we're doing with them right now is working so misewell keep it as is. 4. Chicago PD & Fire episodes as they come out, I'm thinking of getting into Chicago Med after I catch up with PD. 5. Team celebration, party or otherwise focusing on him ofc. 6. Noppers, I like the intensity it adds and the pressure it puts in overtime.
  10. Looking back at my first time scrolling the VHL forums, before I created an account, made a player, and learned the ropes, some I have yet to learn. As someone who struggles with Anxiety, pushing myself to say “fuck it” and go for it came with a lot of hesitance, but in the end, it was so worthwhile. The community is so welcoming, the people here are so kind, I have yet to interact with someone who even comes close to rubbing me the wrong way. All and all it’s been a good experience so far. My player, Oliver Loo, a name I just slapped together is a player or rather character that I didn’t think I’d be putting so much effort and creativity into although my writing is not the best, needing to be improved upon and I don’t exactly have the means to make graphics. I originally made him just to test the waters, and see if I like how the VHL works under the surface that is the forums. Within the Discord servers, the people and such. It’s a lot more laid back than what I first thought, it’s enjoyable. I like pretty much ever aspect that I have discovered so far and can see myself sticking around. Hell, I even already have plans for my next player and this one isn’t even close to done yet. 230 words
  11. 1. Feels amazing! I'm confident our team can make it to the playoffs, especially if we keep winning like this. 2. Maybe a player like Drew Doughty or Patrick Kane, that veteran presence coming from someone who's won a cup or more? I'd listen well. 3. Def something hot like hot chocolate or a green tea, I find that they're cozy. 4. Yes! I am very pleased, he's doing twice as good as he did last season. 5. The Aces, they didn't give us any wiggle room in that last game. 6. The bottom few teams in the top 8 of each conference feel like they still have time to change, everyone's getting more desperate for one of those playoff spots. If anyones going to sneak in I think it's going to be the Red Wings.
  12. Another one! Love your graphics, they're so pretty :0
  13. Beautifully written! I love how well you did this
  14. (I decided to try something new (for me) here, one thing before you start reading, some players are referred to as [REDACTED] because these players are the BOTS and the bot names aren’t the prettiest so they are [REDACTED].) Oliver Loo, being drafted 5th by the Saskatoon Wild in the S93 dispersal draft has a lot to prove with his previous career. During Oliver Loo’s short time with the Miami Marauders, he had hoped to help them with their goal of winning the Founders Cup. Within 48 games in the regular season, Oliver Loo had only managed to produce a low 10 points. In the upcoming playoffs, he would find himself falling short once again with 11 games and only 3 points. With this track record, he would hope to prove himself with the Saskatoon Wild in S93 and prove himself he would. I’m going to be going over brief, rather short game recaps with little interviews between. In most if not all of these games Oliver Loo gets a few more points added to his career. }----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------{ Game #3 Saskatoon Wild vs Miami Marauders [5 - 1] Period #1; Within the first period of the game, despite both teams garnering a number of penalties, four for Miami and two for Saskatoon. Leo Neelson III would get the first goal of the game, assisted by both Jacob Longstreet and Oliver Loo, setting the tone for the rest of the game as soon after Oliver Loo would get another one past Miami’s starting goaltender, assisted by Jacob Longstreet. The first period coming to a close with two goals for Saskatoon. Period #2; This period started with a power play for the Saskatoon Wild, allowing Oliver Loo to score forty-nine seconds into the period, being assisted by Lazlo Holmes. Eight minutes later the Miami Marauders would get their first goal of the game as Marek Nowaczyk managed to get one past Auston Goulet III, Armas Jortikka and Russell Sprout assisting their fellow Marauder. Slowing the Saskatoon Wild’s momentum for just a moment, but not long enough as Micah Cederbaum would put one in the net with the help of Leon Bruhmaninho and Carson Tripp causing the Miami Marauders to pull their goalie and put Marc-Andre Fleury in net. The rest of the period being uneventful. Period #3; Period three would be a rather slow one, with only one goal from Leon Bruhmaninho, assisted by Oliver Loo and Dakota Nachbaur during a power play. The rest of the game being filled with penalties, all three of them being from Miami. Game End. / Goalies \ Saskatoon Wild Austin Goulet III with 22 saves from 23 shots, only letting one in. Miami Marauders [REDACTED] with 19 saves from 23 shots, letting four in. Marc-Andre Fleury with 9 saves from 20 shots, only letting one in. }----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------{ After-Game Interview with Oliver Loo: |That was a good game for you guys, what do you think contributed to your team’s success?| “Well we work well together, I don’t think a single guy on our team wants to see us fail. And not to mention, the coaching staff is amazing, they’ve been pushing us to succeed more than ever.” |What about you? You got four points tonight, what contributed to your success?| “Once again, the coaching staff but most importantly my teammates. If I didn’t have the guys that I do by my side, on the ice, I don’t think I’d have as much success as I do.” |What does your team plan to do to continue this success?| “We’re just going to keep doing what we’re doing, this momentum will carry into the next game and into the next. We’ll be on a streak if we play our cards right.” Interview Close. }----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------{ Game #8 Saskatoon Wild vs Mexico City Kings [2 - 1] Period #1; The first period was a slow one, with no goals but a constant back and forth between the teams, from one end to another. The only results being a few penalties for both teams, two for Saskatoon and two for Mexico City. Period #2; The slow pace of the game continued into this period, until around the sixteen-minute mark, after one of the Mexico City players had gotten a penalty, Carson Tripp put one in the back of the net, being assisted by Jacob Longstreet and Oliver Loo, putting his team in the lead by one goal. The teams continuing their back and forth for the remainder of the period. Period #3; The last period started off strong, after the first minute of the game Leon Bruhmaninho with the assistance of Carson Tripp and Dakota Nachbaur, increasing the Saskatoon Wilds lead and giving their goaltender some necessary reassurance. Following the ten-minute mark of the period, Anthony Simmons II tried to bring it back for his team, with the help of Felicia Hardy and French Fries. The effort would prove to be fruitless as the minutes trickled down to the end with no goals. Game End. / Goalies \ Saskatoon Wild Da TypThond with 21 saves from 22 shots, only letting one in. Mexico City Kings Connor Hellebuyck with 26 saves from 28 shots, letting two in. }----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------{ After-Game Interview with Oliver Loo: |You were rough out there, any reason for that?| “Ah, there was nothing personal if that’s what you’re asking, just a good game of hockey.” |Even with that roughing call in the third period?| “Like I said, it’s just a good game of hockey. Lots of teams play a physical game out there.” Interview Close. }----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------{ Game #13 Mississauga Hounds vs Saskatoon Wild [3 - 5] Period #1; We start our game off with a busy first period, with Carson Tripp scoring within four minutes of the period with the assistance of Leon Bruhmaninho and Micah Cederbaum. Seven minutes later, Jacob Longstreet dumped one in the back of the net, Leo Neelson III and Oliver Loo assisting him. Around two minutes later the first penalty of the game would be called, giving the Saskatoon Wild a power-play goal from Oliver Loo, helped by Micah Cederbaum. The Mississauga Hounds would get some momentum back with a goal from Yuki Ishikawa, who was aided by Clapbomb Bardownski III, while the Saskatoon Wild would maintain their momentum with the final goal of the period coming from Oliver Loo, being assisted by Jacob Longstreet and Leo Neelson III. In addition to that the period would end with three penalties, two to Mississauga and one to Saskatoon. Period #2; A boarding penalty is what gets this period going, the Mississauga Hounds getting a power play goal from Toby Cook, assisted by the likes of Yuki Ishikawa and Clapbomb Bardownski III. The next goal coming in two minutes right behind it, coming from Oliver Loo, with the help of Leon Bruhmaninho and Micah Cederbaum. The final goal of this period is scored by Jack Dickins, assisted by Taylor Swift and Toby Cook, the Mississauga Hounds trying their best to bring it back. The period ending with three penalties once again, one for Saskatoon and two for Mississauga. Period #3; No goals for this period, the teams going back and forth, Saskatoon trying to maintain their two-goal lead while Mississauga tries to shorten it and get ahead. Nothing would change, however, except for two penalties from Saskatoon. Game End. / Goalies \ Saskatoon Wild Austin Goulet III with 12 saves from 15 shots, letting three in. Mississauga Hounds Shaunca with 28 saves from 33 shots, letting five in. }----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------{ After-Game Interview with Oliver Loo: |Congratulations on your first career hat trick, how do you feel?| “I feel amazing, seeing all those hats on the ice… I never thought it would be for me. But of course, I gotta thank my teammates for that, Leo, Micah, Jacob. All of them really.” |How do you plan to keep this momentum for your team going?| “We just gotta keep doing what we’re doing, it’s got us this far already.” |Going back to what you said before, do you think your team can keep the streak alive?| “Of course, we have a lot of guys that are here to win. If we keep going the way that we are, we might be able to win that cup down the line.” }----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------{ Game #18 Saskatoon Wild vs Mexico City Kings [4 - 2] Period #1; A three-goal period for the Saskatoon Wild, the first one right out the gate was from Bollos de Trueno, being assisted by Lazlo Holmes and Oliver Loo. The last and final goal of this period was put in by Dakota Nachbaur, aided by his teammates Leon Bruhmaninho and Carson Tripp. The period ending with five penalties, two for Mexico City and three for Saskatoon. Period #2; Nine minutes into the period is when the action starts in this one, the Mexico City Kings putting one into the net. [REDACTED], being assisted by [REDACTED], as they try to push back against Saskatoon. During a powerplay at the sixteen-minute mark, Carson Tripp, while being assisted by Lazlo Holmes and Leo Neelson III, managed to get the puck into the net. Two penalties going to Mexico City by the periods end. Period #3; A quiet period, but there was a goal nonetheless. Gavin Bebard, with the assistance of his linemates Felicia Hardy and Chuck E Cheese. Mexico City making one last effort to get ahead of the Saskatoon Wild, an effort that would prove to fall short as the period comes to a close with four penalties to Saskatoon. Game End. / Goalies \ Saskatoon Wild Austin Goulet III with 26 saves from 28 shots, letting in two. Mexico City Kings Connor Hellebuyck with 26 saves from 30 shots, letting in four. }----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------{ After-Game Interview with Oliver Loo: |You’re team’s on a four game win streak now, but your next game seems like it’s going to be a tough one. Do you think you’ll win and keep your streak going?| “They have pretty good players, we have good players. It’s all a matter of who plays better, I think we can keep it going.” |Do you think your team’s newer players will help you guys further down the line?| “Definitely, if they keep up with practices, workouts, and such I can see them making a big impact with us.” }----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------{ Game #25 Saskatoon Wild vs Houston Bulls [2 - 4] Period #1; The Houston Bulls set the tone for this game as they manage to get two in the net within the same minute, the first one from Charlie klepacki, his teammates Wladyslaw Mintus and Hulk Smash assisting him. Other then that the period is quiet, aside from two penalties for the Houston Bulls. Period #3; Right out the gate, Cole Stermer puts on in the back of the net with the help of Tommy James Longpre and Elf shoes. Strengthening Houston’s lead and putting them further ahead of Saskatoon. Lazlo Holmes, with the help of Oliver Loo and Jacob Longstreet get a goal in response, hoping to close the gap, only for Elf shoes to manage to break through their offense and score an empty netter, ending the game with a win for the Houston Bulls. Game End. / Goalies \ Saskatoon Wild Da TypThond with 27 saves from 30 shots, letting four in. Houston Bulls Herald Benson with 29 saves from 31 shots, letting two in. }----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------{ After-Game Interview with Oliver Loo: |With such a devastating ending to your team’s win streak, what do you think you guys could have done differently?| “We could’ve played better, cause they definitely outplayed us. Even so we can’t win them all, we’re bound to stumble in some of these games.” |Do you still think you guys have a chance at the cup?| “Our chances are still strong, yeah there’s opposing teams that are strong, but if we play well, if we play better then them then we have a shot.” }----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------{ From these small recaps, it’s safe to say that Oliver Loo has improved over the course of the off-season. Finding a temporary home with the Saskatoon Wild with the hopes of helping them win that shiny Founders Cup. We’ll leave it up to the league to decide whether or not Oliver Loo has proven himself or if it’s too soon to tell. 2076 words (not including the little thing at the top and [REDACTED] player names.)
