  2. Las Vegas Aces, The Las Vegas Aces started this week off pretty slow going 0-2 in the first 2 games, But the Las Vegas Aces started to heat up after a little line change, The aces are currently standing at a 32-21-6 record in 59 games and have 70 points on the season which is good enough to put the aces into a 3rd place spot in there conference which means they dropped 1 spot since last week and they are in 5th overall in the entire league, the aces are gonna be in for a ride these last few games off the year hopefully the Las Vegas Aces clutch up and secure a playoff spot and end on a win to send them into playoffs on a good note. Ottawa lynx as long with some other teams are power houses as of right now and the aces are looking to shut them down and take the VHLM cup home the Las Vegas.
  3. 1) Just to have fun and play with friends 2) I am most exited to see how my player improves 3) I am not modeling my player after anyone but i want to be a player that can make plays but also score 1) How are you doing so far in the VHL? 2) Who is your favorite all-time NHL player? 3) What team do you think has had the best history in the NHL?
  4. Born in St Andrews, New Brunswick in 2004, Nikita Yolishev learned to love the game of hockey, growing up on a farm in a small town taught young Nikita how to be responsible. Nikita's dad would build him a big outdoor ice rink in the back field on the Yolishev farm, About everyday Nikita would invite his friends over to play hockey on the rink his dad had built, Nikita was only 3 years old when he started playing hockey, he had developed this game that was loved to so many in St Andrews very well and mastered many skills, By the time Nikita was 8 his parents had decided he had been playing hockey with no competition but the Yolishev family didn't want to get too far ahead of themselves so they took Nikita to a AA tryout in their hometown, Nikita going into the tryout was very nervous but by the end he was tearing it up, The Yolishev family had no doubt he was gonna make the team, The next day the coach called..., The coach of the St Andrews AA hockey program Said "Nikita has a very exceptional skill to this game and his hockey senses are way above the others I am proud to tell you that Nikita has made the AAA team for the age group above and he is going to be playing for the AAA St Andrews sharks" Nikita's mom ran out to the rink where Nikita was practicing and told him the amazing news, Nikita was super exited to be playing a year up none the less playing AAA. Nikita went to the first practice, the kids on the team were much bigger than Nikita but that didn't effect him he told himself he's there for a reason, Nikita tore up the first practice and the coach was very impressed, the practices continued and Nikita kept proving why he is there, The first game was coming up, Nikita would not stop grinding on the outdoor rink, in the dressing room the coach announced the first line "And on Left wing we have Nikita Yolishev" He was very happy but didn't get over himself, The game started number 6 on the left wing, Nikita ran up the points that game and brought the first W to the St Andrew Sharks, Nikita's parents were so proud of him. Game after game, win after win the sharks have found themselves in a playoff spot they were ranked #1 u11 AAA hockey team in all of Canada at a record of 45-6-2, The Sharks cruised past the first 3 rounds, And now they are in the finals against the #2 ranked team but that didnt affect them the sharks ended it in 5 games, Nikita was named MVP of the year out of every team and had a great year with 104 points in 53 games. Nikita moved on year after year destroying all competition Nothing could stop him, Now its Nikita's draft year for the WHL Nikita is still playing u16 AAA with the St Andrew sharks, Nikita was rejected exceptional status the year before so this year he has something to prove to the WHL. after the season was over, Ranked #1 in Canada and with Nikita being named MVP once again, he had 145 points in 53 games he is projected to go #1 in the upcoming draft to the Moose Jaw Warriors. Comes draft day Nikita is very exited to prove to this league he is exceptional, Moose Jaw has the first overall selection, and they are ready to announce "With the first overall pick the Warriors are proud to select Nikita Yolishev" Nikita was super happy and so was his family, There is just one problem, Nikita doesn't live near Moose Jaw Meaning he is going to have to live in a billet home, at the ripe age of 16 Nikita has to be away from his parents for a large amount of time. Nikita's first game went very badly, Nikita got injured, He felt like his life was over, after realizing he is going to be ok he was cleared to practice with the team, after no time Nikita was back, he was ready to play again ready to rip it up with Nikita back in the line up for the warriors the went on to win plenty of games and win the cup, Nikita had a very exceptional season with 91 points in only 62 games, Nikita won the rookie of the year award he was very proud of himself. And now its time to step it up to the big leagues the VHLM is where Nikita will start, "With the 53rd pick the Las Vegas Aces select Nikita Yolishev" And that's where I am now playing on the second line waiting to take over that first line and play with the stars, And as of right now I have 35 points in 53 games And that's the story about nikita yolishev and where he has came from. 840 words
  5. Las Vegas Aces- The aces of the VHLM currently hold a 2nd place spot in there division right behind the Houston Bulls, The Las Vegas Aces currently have 60 points on the season with a record of 27 W 16 L and 6 OTL, This record is good enough too put the aces in second in there conference and 4th overall between both conferences. The Las Vegas Aces have made a couple moves this trade deadline and try are trying to make a deep playoff run this year, The Las Vegas Aces have got the depth to be dangerous in playoffs this year, with elite defense great offense and great goaltending, I think the Aces are looking dangerous this year, With a player like Pombo with 69 points leading the offence to this strong well-rounded aces team and a great defense this team could go real far and could be a big playoff threat 154 words
  6. Scouting report Player name: Nikita Yolishev Position: LW Height: 6'1 Weight: 188LB Age: 20 Team: Las Vegas Aces Hometown: Bayfield, Ontario Pros Vision: Nikita makes up for his speed with his Vision on the ice, Nikita is a pass first type of guy, Nikita likes to make his teammates and the people around him better Nikita having 20 assists in his rookie season can help you see that he is selfless, But not just can Nikita bring assists he can also score goals Nikita doesn't have many goals this year but he can bring the goals in the clutch moments of the game. Grit: Nikita is a well rounded player better at somethings more than others, But something Nikita does not lack in is his grit and aggressiveness to get the puck Nikita is not a very big guy but he can fight in those corners to win possession of the puck. Speed and Endurance: The way that Nikita moves is fascinating, Just watching this kid makes you think "Wow hes quick", Nikita continues to get faster and faster and this helps him break out of the defensive zone quickly and gain speed in the neutral zone and control the puck in the offensive zone helping Nikita make crisp passes and find opportunity's to score. Responsibility: Nikita is a very responsible and respectful player, Nikita has just 16 PIM in 45 GP, You can put Nikita at any position on the ice and he will play his hardest, Nikita loves helping the team and hates hurting them. Cons and improvment Defensive Coverage: Nikita definitely needs improvement on his defensive skills, Nikita works hard trying to be the best well rounded player, he works towards being a 2 way forward everyday, If Nikita gets better at his defensive skills it would help him out in all aspects of the game, He would be able to make more plays to get the puck out of the defensive zone and block more shots and give his team a better chance to win. Physicality: Nikita Yolishev standing at 6'1, 188lbs does not have the greatest physical game, Nikita could really benefit with working on his defensive game it will add power to his grit and he would be unstoppable in puck battles along the boards or in the corners, This would help him get more opportunity's for his team to get points and more possession of the puck. Puck control: Nikita's puck control could definitely use some improvement, Nikita could really benefit with better puck control, Nikita could skate up the side of the ice with speed not worrying about losing the puck, It would cause less turnovers in the neutral zone and that wouldn't only benefit himself, It would also benefit the team, With more puck possession Nikita would be controlling the game. Final Assessment: Nikita Yolishev Could be a huge part of any team if he works on his weaknesses, Nikita could contribute many points and help a team be successful and maybe even win the Aces a cup this year, Who knows. 511 words

  10. There once was a kid named Nikita who grew up in a small town where hockey was the heart and soul of the community. From the moment Nikita could walk, he was glued to the ice. His parents, who were both former hockey players themselves, couldn't help but smile as they watched their little one take their first wobbly strides in skates. As Nikita got older, his love for the game only grew stronger. He joined the local youth league and quickly became known for his natural talent and determination. He would spend hours after school practicing his shots, perfecting his stickhandling, and working on his speed. His parents were always there, cheering him on from the stands and offering words of encouragement. But it wasn't just about the skills on the ice for Nikita. He learned the value of teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance. He made lifelong friends who shared the same passion for the game. Together, they faced tough opponents, celebrated victories, and learned from defeats. As Nikita entered his teenage years, his talent caught the attention of scouts from junior teams. It was an exciting but nerve-wracking time for him and his family. After careful consideration, they decided that Nikita would leave home to pursue his dream of playing hockey at a higher level. It was a bittersweet moment, saying goodbye to the familiar and embarking on a new chapter. In the junior leagues, Nikita faced tougher competition and had to push himself even harder. He faced setbacks and injuries along the way, but he never lost sight of his goal. With the unwavering support of his family, coaches, and teammates, he persevered. His hard work paid off when he was drafted by a professional team. The moment he stepped onto the ice for his first NHL game, he felt a rush of emotions. All those years of early morning practices, sacrifices, and dedication had led to this moment. Throughout his career, Nikita became known for his skill, his leadership, and his love for the game. He played with passion and gave it his all every time he stepped onto the ice. And even though he achieved great success, he never forgot his roots. He would often return to his hometown, hosting hockey clinics for young aspiring players and sharing his story of determination and resilience. So, that's the story of Nikita, a hockey player whose upbringing and background shaped him into the superstar he became. It's a tale of passion, hard work, and the unwavering support of family and community
