  3. Yay holidays part 2!
  4. Hopefully I can keep top shooting percent next season in an increased role. Although I had the least of a lot of categories, I'm really proud of what Stefano and the team did this season. Let's do it again in S97!

  7. How do you write an article about the lore of a league that you have been a part of for only a few months? Welcome to my attempt. The History and Woes of the Mississauga Hounds Mississauga first joined the VHLM in season 66. They started strong with players winning top honours in goals, assists, top defenseman, and most valuable player. It seems as thought they stalled here for about 22 seasons. They had players win a few trophies, but couldn't make anything happen as a team. That is, until GM Vincent Laroche-Gagnier @vincentlg2007 stepped in. In S88, the Hounds secured their 3rd Prime Minister's Cup in their history and 1st since S79. Improvements continued and in S90 it finally happened. With Laroche-Gagnier at the helm and star player Grimgor Ironhide @FrostBeard on the ice, the Mississauga Hounds completed the journey to the Founder's Cup. Now, in a league without the VHLE, the Hounds are looking to build a team for the long term. GM Ace Wilde @ace_five_ is in his second season. In his first season, Wilde was able to bring his team to the second round, losing to the eventual league champions. With much of that core back and a new look league, Mississauga is hoping their playoff experience will be the difference maker. Wilde has built a team that is ready to make a push this season and beyond because he is about engagement in the league and creating a competitive team. From my point of view, the Hounds are on the up and up. Their GM is learning the ropes quickly and has built a team full of players that are active in the locker room and willing to help each of their new teammates at the drop of a hat. In my opinion, that is what makes or breaks an M team. The first gen players enter the league with most of them having no clue what is going on. I know because I was there not too long ago. It only takes one friendly message to help a new member feel welcome. The Hounds have that. Although they haven't had a history of winning big consistently, they are definitely on the right track. The leaders will grow, teach the new players and they will become the new leaders. Under Wilde, the team has unprecedented potential. This is my understanding of the lore behind the Mississauga Hounds. Whether it is 100% on the mark or not is up for debate. This is the surface level analysis from looking at the stats and being around the team for a few seasons. I don't know what kept the team down for so many seasons, but I am trying to do my part to stop the cycle and get back to what Vincent created a few seasons ago. We are on the right track, and Ace is doing a great job of pushing the team forward. I'm excited to see what happen the rest of this season and into the playoffs and hope we continue to build momentum for the next several seasons to come.
