Motzaburger 1,590 Posted July 17, 2014 Share Posted July 17, 2014 Lukas Nykvist was recently selected 9th overall in the S39 VHL Entry Draft by the Calgary Wranglers. A few days later during the S39 VHLM Dispersal Draft, Nykvist was selected 9th overall by the Turku Outlaws. He was also selected for the S38 Top Prospects game for Team Labatte. You can just add these on to the list of accomplishments for this young man. And to top it all off, Nykvist has accumulated 30TPE since the VHLM Championship game as part of the Yukon Rush. Coincidentally he will join his opponents of that VHLM Final Series, the Turku Outlaws, for next seasons campaign. And S39 will be the make or break year for this young man. Who knows how far his ceiling is? One would like to think he will go along the same path as his soon to be team-mate Travis Boychuk. And if that were the case, then we can look to the Wranglers to soon show us a big splash in the VHL.
