The Flamingo says Farewell

BREAKING: Sources are confirming to radio 590 that Xavier leFlamant has informed General Manager Enorama and teammates of his long time team D.C. Dragons that he will be retiring at season's end. This coincidentally fell on the day where the Flamingo scored his 400th VHL point, 339 of which were with the DC Dragons of course, and 61 with Prague. He put together a better 7-year career than many had initially predicted after being taken 20th overall in his draft class, leFlamant was actually able to end his career with the 10th highest "TPE", whatever that means, of any player in his draft class (Season 71).

When asked for a comment on his long career or biggest regret, leFlamant told 590 radio that he was disappointed in himself for not closing out his one opportunity at a Continental Cup, and he's not sure how long he'll have to live with that. Teammate Groovy Dood was seen hugging him while getting off the podium for the press conference, the two have been close ever since Dood's 1OA selection in S72, and it's definitely an emotional farewell as the Dood/leFlamant pair will see its last game this season.

Such a sad day. It’s been a wild ride, and we have one more chance to get over the hump. We’re all so glad you chose to come back to DC in free agency, clearly it’s a special place. Bonne chance M. LaFlammant, Sven has a great mentor to look up to now!
