Minsk Pink Minks (VHLE concept?)

After reading an article about teams that should/could end up with teams this team concept jumped right to mind so without much thought I decided to create a logo for Minsk Minks (maybe not included the pink!! LOL!) I also tried to create a different aspect to most of my logos with a bit more attitude added to this one with the Minks crossing his arms. Thought of placing a stupid backwards hat on his head or chain around his neck but I think it would make this logo more of a meme logo then a serious idea provoking team concept. So without any further waffling here is the logo concept.  

 

Minsk Minks

As started the main concept is attitude with the minks crossing his arms like "Just try me!! Y oh!!". Then added the black sky line of Minsk is back drop then inverted the image and color to make the man back drop of the logo. At this point it was simple missing from finish so I added a paint drip to smooth the transition of the logo. Wall-la we have a very simple black and white logo with no color so what does the logo need in the way of color? Well, I tried yellow, orange and a few others but Pink made the lettering just pop on the black and white background and it rhythms with the team name!! Not the aim but it worked. Okay, something just doesn't feel right still so what missing, yeah a secondary color to highlight the logo so enter the baby blue back ground and we end up with the finish logo. I think this is by far one of the best logo I have created so far but you are the judges.

 

Team Jersey concept I was also think Colorado but with the baby blue and pink coloring.

Review: This is truly a fantastic logo concept. I love the attitude of the mink, and the mirrored skyline looks great. I'm personally not a big fan of the drip effect purely because I have trouble seeing that printed on a jersey, but that's the only citique I can make. 8.5/10!

Review: sweet article. I love the extra insight into what you were thinking as you made this. The in text colour make it fun and easy to read. Also, the graphic is pretty neat. I like that you included the Minsk skyline (though I wouldn’t know any difference so I’d have to trust you). Overall, great combo graphic and article. 8.5/10.
