Welcome back to another edition of Inside The Mind, a column written by Darsh Albesh that takes a deep dive into the VHLM. Today we will be talking about the short lived post-season of the Philadelphia Reapers.

The Reapers were ecstatic to make it into the playoffs finishing 4th in their conference and 6th overall, they finished with a record of 36-32-4 with 278 goals for and 304 goals against for a -24 differential. Their leader in points with 86 was Cadmael Ixazaluoh ( @Vice) who also led the team in assists with 66 and shots blocked with 134. The Reapers’ leading goal scorer with 32 goals was Julien Bernier ( @Julien_Bernier) who also led in plus/minus with a +14. Defencemen George Sanderson led the team in penalty minutes with 95, hits with 207 and game winning goals with 5. The Reapers entered the playoffs with a deep roster with many signings after the trade deadline including some big name recreates, the energy was high but the numbers and writers were in favour of Minnesota beating Philadelphia. They were right. The Storm beat the Reapers in 5 games and crushed their dreams of winning the championship. Hopefully next year their team will be bigger and better then ever and hopefully they make it further then they did this season. The draft is coming up soon and it will be interesting to see what Philly does with 6 draft picks (no 1st or 3rd round pick). Will @Alex_J32trade them all? Only time will tell.

Join us next time on Inside The Mind when we talk to George Sanderson and get his thoughts on the upcoming draft.
