Dazai Buddha

Dazai Buddha is a 21 year old from Geelong in Victoria, Australia.
Dazai has had a passion for hockey since childhood, joining his local inline roller-hockey league at age 9, after 4 years and 3 appearances in finals Dazai decided his future was to be found on the ice.

At Age 13 Dazai begun to look for a way to play on the ice and found that the nearest rink was found in Melbourne, with this information Dazai started travelling to Melbourne on weekends, while continuing to play inline hockey during the week.

Dazai quickly proved to be an adaptable and talented force on his team. During his tenure with the youth ice hockey league Dazai Buddha grew to be a formidable RW with a talent for puck handling. He consistently posted high ice times and demonstrated a team first attitude with a gift for generating a strong and positive team mentality, in recognition of this he was given the role as alternate captain at age 15. Dazai thrived in this role, quickly developing into a flexible player capable of producing quality plays in any situation who consistently takes the time to help out, often boosting team work and team confidence in the process.

By age 18 Dazai had proved himself to be a core team member that could be relied upon with confidence. After joining the over 18s team Dazai became a fan favourite for his upbeat attitude and propensity to help line mates shine. During his first season in the over 18s Dazai was posting good scores and high play involvement, unfortunately a week before the teams play off run would begin Dazai would take a bad check and sustain an ankle injury which would relegate him to the sidelines for most of the playoffs. Despite this Dazai kept his signature smile, resolving that if he could not play he would do his best to make it to every practice and every game regardless.
The team would be taken out in the semi-finals.

In the seasons since Dazai has continued his growth, striving to improve any aspects of his hockey knowledge. Through hard work, dedication and love of the game Dazai Buddha has shown a remarkable potential for growth and clear desire to both find his place in a team and flourish in it.
This dedication paid off substantially in both seasons. The team making successful playoff runs both seasons despite several roster changes.

Dazai Buddha enters draft eligibility this year.

I mean it wouldn't really be Buddha if he didn't have to deal with some setbacks along the way. I wish I could make wittier references than that, but I haven't read a thing about Buddhism in like 9 years at this point. All I remember is that he's kind of solid guy, with some Chad's trying to rain on his parade. Much like you in the locker room, minus the Chad part. So keep up the earnin', and the learnin' and Miami will climb in no time. I mean we do have a literal god in the lineup, so that has to help!
