Los Angeles, Gucci takes a break from the grind

Now a seasoned seventh year forward on the Stars, Gucci has realized that he has passed his prime and will never eclipse 100 points in a season (95 and 92 in the past two seasons).  He since has taken a leadership role on a roster studded with young potential, hoping his all-around game and patience wih the youth pays off.  "Obviously we aren't atop the standing in North America, but we have really started to come into form lately.  It's how you are playing going into the playoffs," Gucci explained.  "With some of the younger guys picking up their pace of play it has been pretty exciting to watch everything come together." 

 

On the cusp of their first 1000 practice hour player since season 18, the frescoelmo agency hopes this is the start of a new generation of average players.  "We are stoked to see what comes as Gucci has really turned around our agency's direction.  Mediocrity is no fun, and although we have no hardware to show for it, we hope this is putting us in the right direction," frescoelmo told reporters.

 

While the statistics haven't told the same story as he has come accustomed to, Gucci has really improved on his two-way play while getting others involved.  Shooting a much higher percentage, taking less (but better) opportunities, is part of the reason Los Angeles is likely to pass their Season 80 point total in the coming few days.
