Gaikoku-hito 2,081
Seen a lot of graphics with graphics modified in the background and decided to give this a try. I would say that it turned out okay for a first attempt but I am also very hard on my own graphics. Steve 1,920
Review: I would say your attempt that this style was well done. Looks like some sort of halftone effect on the background. I like the text being subtle but readable. Your render, logo swap and recolor was done very well. I like to see members try something new. You did a fine job with the concept and execution of this project. Keep pushing yourself, you have skills. 9/10 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/113888-all-that-matters/#findComment-902176 Share on other sites
fromtheinside 1,290
Review: So there's things I like about this graphic and a couple thing's that I'm not as huge of a fan of. Let's start with the positives.. as you said in your comment below, you wanted to try a graphic with a modified background. I think this portion of the graphic is actually dope. The colorless image in the background with that layer of effect over top of it looks great, and it really makes the rest of the graphic stand out more, I love it. The placement of your top and bottom text are great, I didn't love the font choice but that's not a dealbreaker by any means. I wish the RB 28 popped out more. I think if you made it all purple it would have been a bit better. And the one thing I don't love is the player render. The render itself is good, I like the picture you chose. I just hate the recolouring on the jersey. It looks a little sloppy but I like that you did a logo swap. Overall I'd give this a 7/10. Nice work! Daniel Janser 2,169
Review: Similar to Fromtheinside's review there is light and there is shadow with this graphic: The positive is the idea/concept itself, which is something new for you. I like the pixelated effect like looking at a really old news paper print. I like the logo swap and hilariously over-the-top striking hue of purple you used for the jersey, which is in stark contrast to the black and white background. The points of critique I have is the RB blends into the background to much, I have only seen it at a second glance. Also, I think there is an opportunity missed to change the Pens' logo in the background graphic (at least the blatant visible one). All in all 8/10 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/113888-all-that-matters/#findComment-902242 Share on other sites
Vat 234
Review: This one is absolutely sick! The background bus the best I've seen in ages! The render us very well done too! It looks clean and the logo swap is seemless. I have no idea if that badge in the renders right arm is Prague's secondary logo but if it is I want to give you huge credit for putting that in! Never seen someone use it before ever here. A thing that I would change is the logos of the players in the background. If they would have had Prague's logo then this graphic would've been close to perfect. I get it is hard to make a logo swap in a black and white background but if you would've then it would make it that little bit better. Another thing I have to criticize is that both left and right arm of the render looks scuffed. I would recommend to make those at least look more natural. Other than that I don't really have anything to complain about at all! Well done! 8/10 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/113888-all-that-matters/#findComment-902325 Share on other sites
