I Got Traded This Week, Which Last Happened 26 Seasons Ago And Other Stuff!

-  Title says it all, was traded this week, which makes it the first time I’ve been traded since Season 56 when the greatest backup goalie of all time Edwin Threencarnacion was traded as a cap dump to Anderson's (yep, that Anderson) Cologne Express. Also makes it the first time I’ve been on more than 1 team per league in that same time-span since Edwin Preencarnacion (Las Vegas + Riga) and THE Encarnacion (Saskatoon + Calgary) were both career players with their VHL teams.

-  For @Minion who was after a new team name for the Rush, my choice would be Geneva Impact. Geneva is near to the world’s largest particle collider (The Large Hadron Collider) and I think Impact follows the theme Rush had of being named around a concept related to the area rather than a mascot type figure.

-  Got a huge log of questions to answer for my podcast from @Shindigs, @Tate and @Girts along with a question from @nurx he asked on his podcast. I haven’t had the proper time to record podcasts this week, but I’ll set up time next week to do a dedicated podcast to your questions!

-  Also, go VEGAS!

- Also thank you to Spartan's podcast (It's a good listen btw!) for reminding me I didn't have to do a PT this week to cap since I have VHLM job!

Ayo, secondary tasks are still capped at 6 total per week. You need total job pay of 6+ to cap at 12 without doing a PT :D

Oh no, that was what I was saying in the thread. Unless it got changed while I was away (which I don't think it did, I certainly didn't see an announcement) Jobs don't count towards the secondary task, they are exempt from it.

They are exempt from it, but you can't cap at 12 with just one job of 2 TPE and no PT (including welfare).

If you chose not to claim welfare or a PT, you're capped at 2 job pay + 6 secondary tasks.

If you claim welfare, you're capped at 10 TPE no matter what.

That's why I basically always thought that job pay fell under secondary tasks, since there are very few situations that someone in a non-PT replacing job would have enough pay to be able to skip doing a PT and just finish the rest of their cap with secondary tasks.

Ah ok I get what you were saying now.

I still think that change is pretty dumb. Back before that change, I figured the idea behind jobs being paid much less than the work corresponded to (E.g. The work of a VHLM GM is obviously much more time consuming than doing a press conference or trivia) was that it gave you that ability to hit the cap without having to do a PT (which doing a PT also funnily enough takes less work than being a VHLM GM) so the pay comparison wasn't relevant, but in this current cap it is. I'm guessing it's just an ease of use thing for the portal, but still a pretty weird change.

There's certainly an argument to be made that M GM's should be paid more, I'd fully support that haha

Just remove job pay entirely, makes this all a lot simpler
