The famous term clickers is generally used when a user only clicks two buttons in the VHL portal to earn tpe with the least effort possible. I feel like that term has a negative quotation to it, but really all users are clickers and here is why. 

 

To demonstrate my affirmation that I said in the introduction let’s dart by the term clickers. Well, clickers are when you click on a keyboard, your mouse  or on your phone screen. But to do all the tasks you need to click to do them and to navigate around the forum. So we should stop using the term clickers in pass term and use it to describe all users or just stop using it, because there's nothing wrong with clicking the welfare and practice facility button on the portal. Is it helping the activity or content on the forum ? No. 

 

The quote-on quote clickers are probably the most intelligent user in the VHL. Here is why. They are not brainstorming ideas for their article or media spots and don't have the headache of reading or writing an article that doesn’t make sense but kinda does.

Interesting article. If I'm not wrong, I believe the term was coined on one of the VHLM draft streams I hosted in the early-mid S70's. We had gotten pretty deep into the draft, to the point where most players didn't have a single forum post outside creation/waiver acceptance and we were sort of struggling to come up with something to call them. I think we were just calling them welfare users, but obviously there's a large scope of welfare users. Someone came up with "clickers" on the spot and it literally just clicked, since it pretty accurately represented that subgroup of users. 

 

Out of curiosity, do you consider pressing keys to be clicking? If yes, then I think everyone is not a clicker . If no, maybe we should revisit what it means to "click" something lol.

I mean simply changing the name wont stop it being used as derogatory though, we'll just get a fancy new term to be mildly elitist with.

 

Honestly though, if you're a clicker. If you click a few more buttons at random, there's a good % chance you get 1-2 more TPE per week! This one weird trick @N0HBDY hates!!! Yes, it's clicking trivia. Then just randomly picking an option and sending it. I've already seen a fair few clickers randomly have 1-2 trivia TPE about half the time from employing this 4head tactic.

 

Basically, if you pick answers for trivia at complete random there is still a 6.25% chance of getting 2 TPE and 37.5% chance of getting 1 TPE per week as a clicker (Averages out to 0.5 more TPE per week). May as well roll the dice with next to 0 work involved. Then you get to have the glorious title of "clicker+" instead of "clicker" on my draft board at least.

I'll take credit for that! I don't remember what VHLM draft stream it was either, but I remember coining the term.
