Moderator samx 1,173 Posted February 28, 2022 Moderator Share Posted February 28, 2022 The vhl welcomes a new defenseman to the leagues: Velocirator Greg. Where did this future star come from? Velociraptor Greg was born and raised in Oulu Finland. He was first introduced to hockey at age 5 by his older brother Velociraptor Jack. When he was 10 Greg heard about the VHL. Ever since that day Greg knew he wanted to become the first velociraptor to enter the vhl. His journey to the vhl has not been an easy or simple one. He was always underappreciated and the underdog. Very few people were willing to take the chance on a velociraptor on their hockey team. He worked his butt off to be able to get to where he is today. He started out on some low-level teams in Finland until the age of 15. At 15 he started training way harder to be able to prove himself to coaches and scouts alike. At the age of 18, he was offered to play for a team in Switzerland. He took the offer and move to Switzerland for 3 seasons before he was released due to his many infractions of aggressively attacking other players. 21 and without a team he moves back to Finland and assumes his hockey career is done. He keeps up with his skating and puck skills but doesn't expect to go any further. He heads to university where his sophomore year he is offered a spot on his college's hockey team… A new beginning. He works hard and continues to fight all odds against him. He started out as a healthy scratch as he worked on freshening up his skills. In his first game, he only got 3 shifts but he made the most of them scoring a goal and getting an assist. His coach slowly worked up his playing time trying to make sure his bad behavior habits didn't restart. Greg did well keeping his aggressiveness and anger under control which ultimately ended up with him being captain of his college team. In his junior year, he lead all defensemen in his league in points and helped bring a championship to his college team. After they won he was reached out to by countless vhlm teams asking him to come to play for their team and join for the rest of the s82 season. Greg couldn't believe that it was finally happening. After 19 long years of hard work and dedication to the game of hockey through ups and downs, he made it to the place he always wanted to be since the age of 10. Poor Greg, the league just didn't understand his velociraptor ways. samx 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/116928-velociraptor-greg-junior-review/#findComment-912778 Share on other sites
