Slaeter Fjorsstrom, who finished the playoffs first in defensive scoring with 13 points and third in blocked shots with 26, has not signed with Riga for Season 40. Following the heartbreaking game seven loss, Fjorsstrom refused to speak with reporters, and left the arena as soon as possible. It is rumoured that he will not be taking part in Riga's annual giraffe safari. Fjorsstrom has been rumoured to be hitting free agency for a while now, and it doesn't look like he will be signing any time soon with Riga as he and GM Mike Szatkowski had exchanged some unfavourable tweets following the trade deadline. Whether he signs with Riga or signs with another team, Fjorsstrom wants to win a cup. However, another playoff disappointment this season could make him want to experience a change of scenery.
