So, my final addition of a VHLM Power Rankings/Playoffs MS has come. First of all, congratulations to @Shindigs and the Las Vegas Aces on winning the Founder's Cup! Quite a spectacular season to say the least. Second, I apologize for not posting an MS for the finals. Therefore, I will be giving a review on each playoff team and who/what they should focus on for the next season.

Las Vegas Aces - Champions

GM: @Shindigs

Las Vegas was able to complete the sweep over Halifax to win their 2nd consecutive Founder's Cup, thanks to two OT victories in Games 3 and 4. Finishing as the top scorer was Larry Abass Jr (7-13-20). The Aces are going to have to work on who they can grab to have a chance at a three-peat. They are confirmed losing F Hugh G Johnson, F Al Land, F James Kagelberg, D Reid Johnson, D Jimmy MacElroy and G Cory Evans, along with potentially losing F Larry Abass Jr and F Fred Hampton. There are also speculating rumors of D Juan Ceson leaving the team in Free Agency, however, the Aces can re-sign him before the beginning of next season. Dropping a lot of those players could spell trouble for another Cup run in S85, but the management has been known to put together a competitive squad.

TEAM NEEDS:

- Goal-Scoring Forward

- Offensive Defenseman

- Defensive Forward

- Backup Goalie

- Active F/D Depth

Houston Bulls - 1st Round

GM: @ajwllmsn

A solid regular season followed by a poor showing in the postseason has the Houston Bulls looking for success next season. They are confirmed losing F Todd Cooke, F Damien Steele, F Daniel Weaver, D Jani Karppinen and D Phil Strasmore, along with potentially losing D Ismau Knievel. Losing quite a couple of pieces to their roster might hurt for next year, but there is hope that they can bring in the talent that will push them over the top.

TEAM NEEDS:

- Puck Moving Forward

- Offensive Defenseman

- Defensive Defenseman

- F Depth

Mississauga Hounds - 1st Round

GM - @Daniel Janser

In what I thought would be a very successful, maybe even cup-winning postseason, Mississauga disappointed many after being eliminated in the 1st Round. The Hounds will lose F Lorenzo Cobberson, F Akio Suzuki, F Juan Sano III, D Quinn Clark, and G Karl Pedersen, along with potentially losing D Hunor Solyom and D Big Bob. Losing their top scorer in Cobberson might be a bit of a fright, since their 3rd Round pick would be the first pick they make come draft day.

TEAM NEEDS:

- Goal Scoring Forward

- Offensive Defenseman

- Starting Goalie

- D Depth

Mexico City Kings - 2nd Round

GM - @badcolethetitan

A somewhat nice playoff run came just short as the Kings were defeated by the Las Vegas Aces in the 2nd Round of the Playoffs. Their leading goal scorer in the Playoffs was Halvar Torbjorn (3-6-9). Mexico City will be losing F Jason, D Doug Britton, D Tater Tottingham, and G Henry Tucker Jr, along with potentially losing F William Futch. While they are losing half of their D core, most of the team is bound to return to the roster. Additionally, they have an arsenal of draft picks which they could use to increase the amount of depth they have.

TEAM NEEDS:

- Offensive Defenseman

- D Depth

- Developmental Goalie

- F Depth

Philadelphia Reapers - 1st Round

GM - @Masu Chan

Philadelphia should've gone farther in my opinion, as they were considered a dark horse candidate by some. Unfortunately, the Reapers will lose F Alfred Champagne, F John Jameson, F Jon Webber Jr, and D John Poremba Jr, along with the potential to lose F Babay Shrimp, F Alex Bridges, and F Tom Creeg. Philadelphia does have 3 1st Round Picks, so they can hopefully build up on their F core.

TEAM NEEDS:

- F Depth

- Goal Scoring Forward

- D Depth

Halifax 21st - Finals

GM - @samx

Halifax surprised everyone by reaching the Finals as the 6th seed. Their Cinderella story run unfortunately fell short to the Las Vegas Aces in a series sweep. Leading the 21st in the playoffs was Sunglasses Joyo (11-12-23), and was the league leader in the playoffs. But not to worry Halifax, as you're only supposed to lose D Brodie Landry III and G Geoff Bezos. You still have a nice collection of picks, which can be used to fill your much needed position of D.

TEAM NEEDS:

- Offensive Defenseman

- Defensive Defenseman

- D Depth

- Starting/Backup Goalie

#7 Ottawa Lynx - 2nd Round

GM - @Frozen Block

Ottawa was unsuccessful in their 2nd Round matchup against Halifax, ending a quite surprising short run in the Playoffs. The good news is that they're only losing F Alexandre Forgues. The problem is that everyone else on the team besides a few players were waiver claims, meaning they are available for the M Draft. Ottawa still has all of their picks, including Mississauga's 2nd Rounder.

TEAM NEEDS:

- D Depth

- F Depth

- Goalie

#8 Saskatoon Wild - 1st Round

GM - @Bulduray_1

Not surprising that Saskatoon was eliminated in the 1st Round by Las Vegas. However, they did make it interesting. Saskatoon will be losing F Astro Singh and G Jesse Teno. They need to fill out their roster with youth and active players. They have enough picks to do so.

TEAM NEEDS:

- Depth F/D

- Goalie

San Diego Marlins - Missed Playoffs

GM - @jacobcarson877

San Diego missed the playoffs after dropping two games following my post on 8/1. Their whole roster needs to be rebuilt to compete. End of story

TEAM NEEDS:

 - Everything

Miami Marauders - Missed Playoffs

GM - @Lemorse7

Miami. Rebuild. Now.

TEAM NEEDS:

- Everything

There should be plenty of players to select in this draft for each team. We all know the major headline is the lack of D throughout the league. I guess we'll see who takes who for their journey to the Founder's Cup. I thank everyone for following this short couple of weeks worth of these. I don't know if I'll continue with the M or move to the E/VHL as I continue my player career. Please let me know what I should do.

Fred Hampton

He's actually already over 200 TPE. He just never applied past 199 TPA because no matter what he put that final point in, it would round down.

Actually Futch is well over 200 as well, but stopped at 194 for reasons.

And Babay Shrimp is undrafted due to joining late as a waiver pickup and she will easily slide past 200 to skip the M draft and go straight to the E.

But other than that t'was a good read. As for what to do going forward. The E could really use more coverage, but so could the M. So I'd say go with whatever you find the most interesting to yourself. Most of us tend to focus on the league our player is currently in though, but with you applying for an AGM job in the M. It's quite possible you'll still have a strong connection to the league next season and beyond.👀

Yes yes indeed, I think I’ll just have to evaluate and consider what would be worth covering. I’m sure the power rankings thing would still work but it just depends on what league lol
