It's exciting that as a team we will be aiming for a deep playoff run - a first in a while. With that being said there is a change here in Helsinki, we'll be announcing the 25th Captain in Helsinki Titans history. Captain: Don Draper Assistant Captain: Jackson Miller Assistant Captain: Damon Tyrael We are excited with this group of leaders on the team. Draper has literally killed it in terms of our internal Game Thread Activity Tracker - and has been a leader in this community before he even played a game in the VHL. I am proud to have him on the team, and should lead us for seasons to come. Miller is also a great member who has been around the block and a lot of us newer members can learn from him. Beketov had an unexpected personal situation come up last season, and we hope he can bounce back from his time off. Tyrael is one of two members who joined the team this season via trade - they are literally the only two who have made the playoffs. Vojczek Svoboda announced that he will be retiring after this season, and we are more than grateful for what he brought to the Titans organization over the past two seasons. He's been a great person to talk to, and I would bring him on and make him the leader of my team if I ever had a chance again. However, he has expressed a disconnect with the league, and we have chosen members who are going to be a leader in the locker room and on the forums. While I debated not mentioning our former captain, I feel that just out of respect for the person, I can't overlook and explain why his name isn't up there. I've done my best thus far to be a leader and a motivator to the team since joining a few seasons back, and I'm honoured to be able to continue that as Captain, alongside Beketov and Bash, who I know will be fantastic leaders. Slobo has been a great leader the past two seasons and it's a damn shame that his time with us is coming to an end, but I hope to build on what he's leaving behind.
