Following the first 6 games of the season, DeGroot has proven to be a stellar backbone for the Bears defensive group. Finally busting out of the shadows of Brian Payne and Harry Singing Narwhal, he looks to prove himself as the true heir to the throne Hard Markinson's retirement has left. "Playing with elite forwards has always been a great compliment to my game. I've played with some of the best during my career, Stamen, Dan Dan, Kisslinger and Vasile Lamb to name a few. This is my second stint with Florida Man, who has really grown into one of the best players I've seen. I think I'm good at spotting young players who'll become studs and I bet Bogs will be getting MVP votes within 5 seasons".
