KRZY 416
Season 92 is well on its way and the LA Stars are off to there best ever start in a 22 game span going 20-2 . The Stars are in a go for it season with most of their core retiring at the end of this season. And going for it they are . The Stars are ranked first in goals for with 78 as well as first in goals against with just 40 . That’s good enough for a 38 goal differential that also leads the league in that category. That’s 3.54 GF per game and 1.8 GA per game the Stars are lights out this season at both ends of the ice and so far looks to far and away be the favourites the win the continental cup. The Stars have multiple players having strong seasons 5 forwards over a point per game with the 6th close to a point per game . This team is scoring by committee and not just relying on one or two players. The defence are also having excellent seasons Aswell all nearly producing at a point per game pace Aswell . Art Vandelay @Gustav has been the teams true MVP this season playing absolutely out of his mind in his final season before he hangs up the pads . Leading the league or near the top of every goalie stat in the league I truly think that this has been an MVP calibre season for Vandelay and if he can keep it up I believe he will take home league MVP at the end of the season. The veterans are on a mission the year and that mission is to go out on top and bring a cup back to LA @InstantRockstar is on the way to getting his first cup as a GM in the VHL He’s put together a special team and all the hard work is paying off . They just need to close out and get the job done. In other news Todd Cooke has told the LA media he will retire at the end of this season with his teammates Napoleon Dynamite , Jon Webber Jr and the aforementioned Art Vandelay . @Gustav @thadthrasher @Webberj . In the media scrum Cooke let out a little detail that his cousin Toby Cooke who is an up and comer in the AJHL (Alberta Junior Hockey League ) and a top prospect in the S94 draft had declared for the draft . Cooke have a little insight on what to expect from his cousin. “ the kids a giant on the blue line he hits like a truck and can quarterback your power play like no other definitely a special player coming up.” If the younger Cooke is anything like his cousin he will prove to be a special player in his own right . And any team would chomp at the bit for a 2 way defence man like him . Only time will tell how special this player truly turns out . Until then all we can do is wait and see . Until next time ladies and gentlemen! Hope you enjoyed the media spot .
