As much as I hate BMTH giving fans a 2 year blue ball for their album and surprise dropping it last night, I'm pretty happy with the album.

 

Things I am also pretty happy with are the moves Moscow made in the offseason. The draft process was pretty neat, managing to bundle up our various 1st and 2nd rounders to secure 1oa and 2oa in the draft, resulting in snagging both @jacobcarson877 and @leandrofg. Both of them were pretty unanimously the top selections in the class and frankly probably the current next best earners after, modestly, myself. I will admit that Syko's earning through uncapped is a bit lower than Pearce's, so I don't anticipate setting records again. Being a goalie meant I had to pay a bit more attention to my cost. But if there were people to break my record, I think either Jacob or Leandro could pull it off - so I'd love it if they break my record while playing for me.

 

For the S94 season, we also managed to finalize the roster with a trade for Steve Lattimer @pugsood, which might just be the longest trade talks I've had as a VHL GM. Maybe there's others that took more time due to on and off negotiations, but this was probably the longest time I was directly engaged in chatting with one team continuously. I'd rather never have talks go that long if I'm being honest. But we ended up getting who we wanted, even if there was a fairly large domino effect of trades needed to make it happen. Also managed to bring up Petit Hughie, @osens, one of our former 2nd round selections. We'll have two rookies on the blue line between Hughie and Benjamin Abenduct @Schnee, but I think our defense is solid enough where we can pair these defensively minded rookies with our offensively talented stars.

 

Anyways yeah pretty excited for this next season, we've got a fantastic forward group, some solid defense pairings, maybe a goalie. We'll see how it goes but there's definitely high expectations.
