As the VHL playoffs kick off, the first-round matchup between the Vancouver Wolves and the New York Americans in the North American Conference promises to be a great contest! Both teams finished the regular season with identical 88 points, making this series anyone’s guess as to who will advance.

 

Vancouver Wolves: The Wolves' offense is spearheaded by Owen Lazaro, who tallied an impressive 95 points this season. Rip Wheeler and Logan Ninefingers add further firepower, each surpassing the point per game mark. On defense, Mark Calaway and Liv Slater are both extremely strong and able to contribute significantly at both ends of the ice. Goaltender Dalkr Vidarsson will also be a key player, boasting a solid .919 save percentage and five shutouts during the regular season.

 

New York Americans: The Americans offense is led by FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY Analfist, whose 98 points alongside Jasper Davis’s 95 points, provides the team with a strong 1-2 punch. Defenseman Callum Gary Yannick Janser is a playmaker from the blue line, racking up 74 assists and New York’s goaltending is anchored by WWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWW, who put up a .922 save percentage.

 

Prediction: This series is too close to call, with both teams having strengths that could tip the balance. I think Vancouver's depth might give them a slight edge, but New York’s star power could easily take over. I will say the series will go the distance with Vancouver (home town bias) squeaking out ahead.

Fantastic work, smart idea, better execution! Back in my day, on another forum, because of the overall hype for sims, every series had a playoff preview every season. It adds a little extra oomph to the hype, extending it an extra day in our minds 🖼 there's more teams than ever so it makes sense why we don't see it done more often but it would be super neat if the VSN decided to go that direction one dayat least for a season or league in some kind of context officially
