Chicago Phoenix announce new arena name

The Chicago Phoenix general manager and owner has announced today that the arena would be getting a new, permanent, name. The reasoning behind it he told the media was "We need something that is significant to our team, our brand, and our fans. They've been through a lot and just saying the 'Chicago Stadium' or 'Chicago Arena' doesn't have much of a ring to it, or much behind it. I believe moving forward, the fans are going to love the new name and it will resonate with our team as well." The name chosen was "The Nest", calling to their branding as the Chicago Phoenix. With a capacity of 16,692 seats, the Phoenix are looking to add more seats in the coming future as recent success has given them extra money to work with. The ultimate goal is to build or upgrade the stadium, so that the fans, players, and management are all proud of what they've accomplished. Players are yet to comment on the change, but the overall consensus is that they've finally got a unique name to call home. The arena will officially have "The Nest" displayed on the ice starting next season, however, the stadium name has already been changed.

Future upgrades include adding more seats, building an outside official tailgate area for fans to enjoy before the game, and upgrading various stadium facilities. We are extremely proud to announce this news and we hope we can continue to expand!

Chicago Phoenix bring new tradition to their fans

Alongside with the new name for the arena, general manager and owner Cole has announced there will be a first ever whiteout in the stadium. In the next home game for the Chicago Phoenix, every fan in attendance will receive a white t-shirt with the words "Protect the Nest". "This is a new tradition that we want to bring to the fans," stated the owner. "We want to showcase we have the best fans in the league and what better way to do it than giving them a chance to support the team and make some noise at our home barn. We want other teams to hate playing in our stadium and make it as difficult for teams to succeed when playing here." Already a sold out crowd for the next game, it will have huge significance for both of the teams competing. The Chicago Phoenix (23-5-2) first in NA take on the Moscow Menace (29-1-2) first in EU. This will be the first matchup between the teams at the top of the standings, and Moscow is currently riding a 14 game win streak. Chicago will have a chance to dethrone the kings of the league, and what better way to do it in front of the home crowd. "We're super excited, I've never been to a whiteout, so I can't wait!" exclaimed a Chicago fan getting ready for the matchup tomorrow. Regardless, it will be a great way to start a new tradition and test Chicago's strength against the best in the league.

What better way to announce it?

To be fair, I wanted to change our stadium name (as we literally didn't have one) for a bit.. just didn't have any ideas and this came to my mind today. LOL
