The nature of simming in the playoffs means they can end quite quickly. The Seattle Bears have spent just four days in the playoffs this season, winning in the wildcard in two, and then getting swept in the first round in another two. Obviously teams knocked out in the wildcard round (or any swept without needing to go through the wildcard) spend even less time in the playoffs.

But I remembered some lore when I was thinking about that, and yes I'm a bit late to the theme week now.

The Cologne Express finished top of a tight European Conference in Season 40, allowing them a bit of rest while Riga and Helsinki battled it out for a place in the conference finals. That was a 7-game nail-biter with Riga coming out on top. But then came the shock.

Games 1 and 2 were simmed at 2:37pm EST on November 22, 2014. Then because presumably @JardyB10, as was custom, missed a day of sims, he delivered Games 3 and 4 by 7:04pm of the same day. Cologne lasted less than 4 and a half hours in the playoffs which must still stand as the all time record.

Riga went on to win the Continental Cup.
