Howdy folks I need that sweet sweet uncapped 6 TPE so I can get a few more leadership points so here we go! I will be discussing some of the Halifax 21st players and why this squad is the best squad ever to be in the Victory Hockey League Minors.

Let's start with the shining star of the team that has been helping provide so much points to both their fellow 21sters, and also the team in the standings: Pelayo Bolivar! In 50 less games, they have almost matched their point totals. Wow! Impressive for the Spanish future superstar for the London United. Before being stopped by the San Diego Marlins, Bolivar was popping an amazing 14 game scoring streak, helping lead the 21st to a top 3 place in the standings. They are in the top five for goal scoring, which is no surprise considering their deceptive wrist shot that can be used both on the rush, and from a cheeky saucer pass. They have been an enormous part of the 21st offence (which is number one in the league), leading the league in points by a whopping 6 points, and second place is their teammate! As a coach, I'd like to see them using their big body a little more but that's going to be something to improve on for this season, and his next in the capital of the Commonwealth.

Bolivar has been part of a dominant second line, but that line cannot be completed without the biggest free agent signing of the offseason - Inker Belle! The pass first playmaker has been the perfect addition to play on Bolivar's wing and lead the powerplay. Another player that's already close to matching their past season's points total (admittedly, they were misplayed by the wavering Aces coaching staff), this squid like player has all the tools to be an ice breaker in both the minors, and when they make the jump to the VHL, already signing an extension to remain in the Toronto Legion's pipeline, ready to make an immediate impact in season 98. Their vision, hockey IQ, and of course their league leading saucer passes, all combine to create an offensive weapon that isn't shy to dig into the corners, like a honey badger that can spew ink on the opposition.

Speaking of physical players, I'd be amiss to mention another offseason acquisition that has been a massive boost to the 21st's blue line: Shot Blocker - and boy, do they live up to their name! With a top five shot blocking stat line through the first 20 games, they also throw a staggering amount of hits, currently at 67! Blocker certainly brings the BOOM if you don't keep your head on a swivel! You may think this is a one dimensional defensive defenseman, but watch out! This stud has been silently creeping up the defenseman point leaderboard, only one away from making the grand reveal to the rest of the minor league coaches and managers! BOOM! The Helsinki Titans have surely got a great trade piece at 21st overall to continue their perennial rebuild!
