THE END IS NEAR, CAN THE NIGHTHAWKS FINALLY DO IT?

...Okay so before we really get into this, the honest answer is probably...No.  Look, I am not trying to be pessimistic, cause frankly I would really love the Continental Cup, but the odds are obviously against us.  At the end of this year, only one team can call themselves the Continental Cup winner, and it has been since S82 that the team that was able to label themselves that, also won the Victory Cup.

This is Viktor Jensen's third time winning the Victory Cup, and while he certainly celebrated the first two times a little bit more...this one doesn't really seem to be impacting him in the same way.

"Frankly, I don't really care about winning it.  I am thrilled we had a great regular season and the hot streak we are on going into the playoffs is exactly what you want..but at the end of the day, these series start at 0-0.  Anything can happen and we have been knocked off both times we won the Victory Cup before...in the first round no less.  So no, I don't really care about it.  I want the Continental and nothing else." - Viktor Jensen

Jensen's Nighthawks are definitely riding high with a 12-game win streak.  But with a matchup with the Riga Reign looming, a team that has beaten a Victory Cup winning Nighthawks team in the past...they certainly won't make it easy on Malmo.
