There has been a call to fire the schedulemakers in the VHL due to Season 42's ridiculous scheduling. In an odd turn of events, it appears they simply scheduled in blocks, pitting certain teams against each other for the first half of the season and leaving the other teams to the second half of the season. This is a sign of laziness and has led to those inside and those outside the VHL wondering what is even going on and why this issue has barely been discussed.

Just as an example, the Meute hold the league's best record with a .762 point percentage yet have played the only other two teams with a point percentage over .600, the Americans and Titans, just two and three times, respectively. In fact, it wasn't even until their 32nd game that they played the Titans for the first time and not until their 40th that they first played their conference rival New York Americans.

It makes no sense why the league would opt for such an imbalanced schedule. The only real conclusion is that it's the result of a change in league management that failed to recognize what is best for the league. While they have managed to get by so far relatively unscathed, additional issues and/or a failure to produce a more sensible schedule next season reportedly could lead to the VHL's first ever lockout, something the commissioners would be very wise to prevent.
