Cologne on the verge of winning their first Continental Cup

Good for them.

Meanwhile, in Stockholm, Lloyd Light has regained some lost momentum in practice. After discussing things with management, he has resolved to be a better player than he has been. After leading the Vikings in points during his rookie season, he fell to just 63 points in his sophomore season, far below his expectations. With the team on the rise, Light is determined to not be a player that holds the team back. Expecting to bounce back from his relatively poor season, Light has high aspirations for the coming seasons, for himself individually and his team.

Season 43 may still be all about Cologne and Helsinki over in Europe, but soon enough Stockholm and Davos will rise to prominence. When that time comes, Light will be someone the Vikings can count on, even if he won't be the star. Having full faith in the management, and knowing that management has full faith in him, Light's attitude is a great asset for the franchise considered the worst in the VHL. He wants to win not just for himself, but for the team, the franchise, his teammates. His aspirations go beyond winning Continental Cups with the team, but being a part of the rebranding of the franchise as one that commands respect.

It is exciting for them - the prospect of winning the first. It's a big milestone.

The first in Stockholm, anyway. Obviously the Franchise has won a couple before, but yeah I'm really looking forward to the coming seasons.
