Ahma 1,428 Posted May 7, 2015 Share Posted May 7, 2015 (edited) Simon Valmount scored his first VHLM goal last week. This happened at game 18 against the Oslo Storm. Because it’s his first ever goal scored in the VHLM, he will remember it for a long time. When Valmount scored that goal, he also broke his unbelievable scoreless streak. That streak is unofficial VHLM record: The longest scoreless streak. Total of 30 games without a single goal. A great man (Victor) unofficially granted this ”honor” to Valmount. Sadly, the record is not ”official”. When Valmount finally got the remarkable first goal, he went on a little mean streak. A nice point and goal streak. At the moment he has 14 points in 18 games. Valmount was asked few questions by someone. The first goal you scored, tell about it? Damn! What an amazing goal it was! I deked few defensemen and sniped it topself! Just kidding hahaha! Seriously, it was a lucky goal… I just threw the puck to the net and then puck somehow bounced in. If I remember right… puck took a bounce of an enemy defenseman’s skates, then puck bounced to goalie’s blocker and somehow magically went in. I scored with the help of the Lady Luck. But the reactions of my team mates were out of this world when they saw that I scored! They couldn’t believe their eyes. I believe that most of the league and fans couldn’t believe their eyes either. And I was like: What?! I scored that goal!? They must have mistaken me for someone else… Oh wooow, it was really me! Woohoo! And then everyone went crazy, fans too. Freezing and amazing moment. The most memorable moment for me in the VHLM. That goal was the story of the day. What do you think about the record? It's not the most amazing record, but it's still cool to get a record. The record itself is quite bad... and it's unofficial. I guess I'm kind of proud of it and not proud of it at the same time. You seem to be a moody player, why? It’s still early in the season. I’m a tricky and a moody player indeed. Sometimes I go into an absolute beastmode, and after few games I’m cold as a frosted frog. I should be getting points at the moment, but in the end I’m a defensive player, not an offensive forward. But I’m playing on an amazing team and in the VHLM, so I could have more points. Simply, I just don’t have the poise to do that and my play style focuses on making room for my team mates. In defensive and physical side of the game, I'm always doing well. We have a new lineup too and I like it. One reason behind my lack of offense. Sadly, I’m not clicking with my new line mates yet. Wait until we get going! Last but not least, I want to congratulate our captains, good luck and congratulations guys! Personally, I probably couldn’t handle captaincy. I would have too much pressure and attention, although I like to talk to media and stuff. Maybe in the future I can handle it, when I have more experience. Enemy is more used in a war context. But I like it haha. Grammar: 2/2 - Not enough in there to dock anything, but they are easy mistakes to correct. Look out for that next time or I may deduct points.
