DAVOS, SWITZERLAND – Season 42 second overall pick Callum Sinclair officially locked up his future with HC Davos Dynamo, signed a five-year contract extension that would have him stay with Davos for the rest of his career (barring a trade). The American goaltender, who played for Team Mercenaries in the recent World Cup, will be hoping to prove his worth in season 44 after fairly mediocre rookie and sophomore years. Despite starting off strong in S43, Sinclair finished the year off with a disappointing .914 save percentage and 2.19 goals against average, as the Dynamo were unable to get past the first round of the playoffs.
“I want to show that I can be this team’s franchise goaltender,” Sinclair stated in a recent press conference. “I need to show that not only to the coaches and the organization, but also the fans. Davos has a great history of goaltenders, and this extension is proof that I want to be a major part of that history.” Edited by solas
