The 50th VHL Season was supposed to be a triumphant monumental season for the league.  A half century of seasons with success rivaling the NHL itself.  However that was not the case season 50 marks the end of the VHL as we know it.  The sudden decline of the league and its inevitable collapse was due to one reason the drop of league prospects.  We can trace this back to the Season 47 Draft which ended up being the worst in VHL history.  The league was back to back amazing classes in Season 45 and 46.  Season 47 was the first time in VHL history that not one prospect made it out of the minors and into the pro level.  Only one prospect made it from the Season 48 draft and none again from Season 49.  The generational gap in talent led to a decrease in the quality of the game as former retired players rejoined the league in their 50s.  The fans soon gave up and as revenue fell the league was forced to close…Woah it was only a dream but it’s the path we are following get out there and recruit you lazy F@CKS
