Good Old Hockey Game

With the Victory Hockey League looking to spice up the atmosphere around the yearly all-star game, they announced that the game will move to weekend before the trade deadline. This is the first time the league has held the game anywhere, but at the conclusion of each season. This season also marks the introduction of a young stars game during the all-star weekend, which will include VHL rookies, as well as the top VHLM prospects. In today’s media spot, we’ll take a look that the upcoming all-star weekend and the inaugural young stars game that will be held.

Tom Lincoln:

Lincoln came to the VHL via the General Manager, and he hasn’t disappointed so far in his rookie season. Lincoln has emerged as a top player on the Meute as we pass the half-way point in Season Forty-Seven. Lincoln leads the Meute in goals with sixteen, and points with forty-four. Although he currently sits under a point per game, totals like this on a last place club, bring tons of hope for the future. Lincoln will surly find his name on the roster when the league announces the young stars game later this week.

LeAndre St. Pierre:

The top rookie in the VHL could possibly join fellow rookie Joel Jarvi on the VHL all-star roster, but more than likely the young forward from France will find himself in the young stars game. St. Pierre has be on a tear this season, sitting third amongst the Legion roster in total points with fifty. St. Pierre saw loads of success in the VHLM this past season, and he has translated to the VHL game with ease so far this season. St. Pierre will look to dominate against his peers if his name does get called for the young stars showcase.

Pete Stockton:

Another member of the young influence that has been arriving in Toronto recently, Stockton who was drafted Fifth Overall back in Season Forty-Six, will look to use the young stars showcase to prove his worth. Stockton has been absent from practice over the course of the past season and a half, but still has tons of potential to his name if he ever decides to put forth a full effort. Although Stockton has been absent for all the Legions weekly practices, he still has managed to put a good effort in on the ice during the teams’ games. Stockton has put up a respectable forty-four points in fifty-four games this season. Stockton will look to use a strong showing in the next couple of games to cement his spot in the upcoming game.

Niels Skovgaard:

Skovgaard is another member of the VHL rookie group that has been preforming well during his inaugural VHL season. Skovgaard was drafted with the last pick in the first round two seasons ago, progressing nicely for the Bears during his tenure with the Saskatoon Wild of the VHLM. Now that he has entered the VHL, Skovgaard has continued the two-way play he was known for in Saskatoon. Skovgaard has been fairly consistent on the offensive side as well, putting up twenty-three goals and twenty-assists. Look for Skovgaard to play a big role when he puts on his VHL young stars jersey.

nice write up. Didn't realize this was a media spot so may as well review it while I'm here. Didn't see any errors grammatical or otherwise. Only issue I saw was that I wasn't mentioned lol also I'm sucker for player pics as opposed to the team logo especially since these guys are being recognized for personal performance.

keep up the good work, man
