Going to start this little blog article by saying that I wish all the players who are selected into the All-Star game lot´s of luck and also congratulations on being selected. I´m sure it´s a amazing event and I can only hope that I can be there at least once during my career. Would make a cool story to tell when the playing days are over. 

 

I was slightly annoyed when I first heard that I did not make the game, but quite quickly I realized that they cant pick everybody into the game. Lot´s of great players have to watch the whole thing from TV. I´m sure somebody might go and watch the game live and enjoy the great city of Amsterdam! I have always wanted to visit Amsterdam, heard lot´s of great things about the place. Lot´s of fun things to do especially if you are  young and single male.  You can enjoy the architecture and visit various museums. Sounds pretty awesome if you ask me.

 

 

 

I´m not going to travel into Netherlands this time though. I´m sure I would have the time of my life there and on top of that I could watch a All-Star game! At the moment that trip would mean that I would have to get up from the couch and actually plan everything. I don´t have the energy to do that.  New York gave all the players few days off! So I have spent the last 12 hours or so by watching How I Met Your Mother. Currently taking a break to write all this. 

 

I´m not sure what I will do when the game is played. The time difference is a thing to take into consideration so I might just sleep through it all? Not 100% sure when the game is played since I have not received any news about the whole thing, but I´m going to assume it´s not the best time for me. I´m fairly busy guy at the moment and when I can have few days of free time just for me without any hockey, need to try and get the most out of it. Might keep on watching HIMYM and perhaps even go out for a run if I feel like it or if I´m home and awake when the game is on, I might watch it. I remember watching these games when I was younger back in Finland and absolutely loved it. Lot´s of stars on ice at the same time, pretty awesome game for the fans at least.

 

That is really all I have to say this time, I will try my best to be there next time. I know I got quite huge fan following back in Finland so some kind of fan vote would more than likely get me a spot next time.Hoping to make it at least bit more hard next year for the people who pick the rosters.  All I need to do is keep on working hard at the practice and make sure to score some goals when I get the chance. Hard work and bit of luck is all I need!

You're an All-Star in my eyes. Hopefully next season you make it in, since I think Ruutu is a stud. Definitely capable of doing even better than you already are.
