DollarAndADream 3,356
The Season 48 Legion: A Resurgence If anybody has been paying attention to the Toronto Legion the past little while, they would easily know that they have not been a very competitive team. While a couple of seasons ago, they did make the playoffs, it was mostly because of rebuild seasons by other teams, and they realistically had no chance of getting anywhere. This past season, the Legion missed the big show, giving the Seattle Bears a chance at the post-season. Just like the Legion in the season prior, the Bears did not get too far. This off-season, the Toronto Legion made some key moves. Thankfully for the draft, they won the lottery and used the number one pick to grab top tier prospect defenseman, Black Velvet. Black Velvet is surely a legend in the making, and will definitely aid the men in blue and white on their road to a hopeful cup. Velvet will no doubt be a cornerstone on the blueline for seasons to come, and he will provide a skill-set that current d-men on Toronto have not had the chance to play with. Also through the draft, they acquired Cian Mercer, Dope Fiend, Rene Bergeron, and Pavel Varushkin. While there's no telling really what these other prospects will bring to the table, it's nice to see some young faces added to the mix of the Toronto Legion. If the head brass can manage to get these prospects to commit more to development, it will do wonders. ------------------------------- ------------------------------- Also in the off-season, GM Molholt went ahead and traded for Benjamin Zeptenbergs and Jack Kowalski on offense. Zeptenbergs has been a stud throughout his career in the VHL, and will add much needed depth to the forward lines. In regards to Kowalski, he's a long time veteran of the VHL, and will also provide some huge talent on the second line. Of course, Max Molholt and Zach Parechkin are still there along with LeAndre St. Pierre, so it will be interesting to see what kind of chemistry these players can muster up together. Having Parechkin, Molholt, Zeptenbergs, LSP, and Kowalski will bring a lot of offense to the table, so if any cold streaks happen, you can bet that another talent will make up for that slack. Through the same trade that brought to Toronto the likes of Zeptenbergs and Kowalski, they also acquired blueline veteran Francis York Morgan. During his reign in the VHL, FYM has progressively gotten better each season. Knowing that, it will be fun to watch what he can stir up on the back end with World B. Free, Black Velvet, and Chuck Goody. This veteran presence being added to the d-core should do wonders. -------------------------------- -------------------------------- After many seasons of TOR G, the Legion finally obtained a goaltender. Hans Wingate (or, WinGOD) has been brought into the fold. Previously winning the cup with the Calgary Wranglers back in S44, this is a superstar who also brings with him accolades such as World Cup Golds and Top Goalie awards. Upgrading from TOR G to Wingate, the Legion went from 0 to 100 real quick in net. Hans Wingate has spent the last couple of seasons with the Riga Reign, who unfortunately could not put up a solid fight in the playoffs, to most people's surprise. Hans will look to try and have the successes that he did in Calgary, now back in Canada in the big city of Toronto. The Toronto Legion are set to be a top team, and the only question remaining is if this group of players can put their skills together to create a winning formula. eaglesfan036 and Molholt

atw2592 286
Since I'll have 99 scoring all season long, I'm expecting at least 40 goals.

FacePuncher 1,343
Review: i do love seeing your Toronto updates, always very good articles. All these big trades seem to put Toronto in a really good position this year, and the drafting of Black Velvet helps a lot (should've take Podarok tbh ) good luck this season, because after I get in the league I can't wish good luck for anyone not on Seattle lol 602 words DollarAndADream
